We have some pawpaw (papaya) trees growing in our backyard which came up from our compost. We decided to let them grow and see if they would fruit. Yes as this photo shows we got flowers and you can see the small fruit but they are not growing any bigger now. We live on edge of a mountain range and thought it would be too cold for them but it was fun to see what would happen and I enjoyed capturing this good photo ( taken in February ).

What a stunning photo, Anne-Marie. I've never seen a papaya bloom before and it's very interesting. I like the greens you used in the layout to go with the greens in your photos. Nicely done.

How funny! Compost piles can be productive in more ways than one! We had an avocado volunteer once from the compost but alas they are pretty picky trees & it didn't make it. Interesting photo, I like the embellies too!
