    My parents leave Arizona today to fly the 3500 miles to see us! Can't wait to get them at the airport tomorrow morning!!!

    I go to the bus stop to meet the girls in a few minutes. They got their band instruments today (5th grade is the first year they can be in the band here). I'm SO excited. I think it may be a very noisy afternoon here!

      Yep, it'll be noisy for a long time to come! But what a great age/stage of life for them! Band was a huge and wonderful part of my life!

    First day of FIFTH grade for our girls. Didn't even go to the classroom with them. Growing up can be so hard for parents! ;)

      Awe, I feel your pain. My guys started Monday. I was a wee bit teary that day. We parents are permitted to walk kids to their classes this week only - afterwards, hugs and kisses at the door only.

      I wasn't allowed to take pictures after we left the house! Made sure to whine that my scrapbook pages would be better with more to look at. They didn't buy it!

      I have proven that theorem more time than I care to recount. It roughly corresponds to the truth that a printer will fail just as you begin to print the last page of a big project, late in the evening of a holiday weekend.
