I recently learned how to use Curves in Photoshop and so I used it to lighten the foreground (our faces got lost in the shadows). Though I'm not an expert yet (on using Curves), I was quite pleased with the results. I was thinking of deleting the pics but thought of scrapping them anyway. I try to keep all my pictures no matter what.© © bewitchingsam

Thanks!! The water was originally dark, almost murky black because of the sand. I just had to re-color with a tint of light blue to make it blend with the bright papers. I used hue/saturation which I recently learned from the newsletter! Scrapgirls is great for newbies like me! -

This pic was taken during our trip to Bicol. This beach has the finest black sand I've ever seen! It's probably because it's at the foot of Mt. Mayon, which errupted a few years back. Mayon is also popular in the world since it's the only volcano with a towering height and a perfect cone shape. High tide sets in early in the afternoon. The waves literally flood the shore! -
