Taking a moment to honor my grandparents they immigrated to Hawaii from the Philippines, my grandfather worked as a laborer and my grandmother was a stay at home mom. Going through old photos and came up with this... I'm not 100% satisfied - I know there's a way to make it better (candles could be merged in with the cake - not sure how to do that yet) and I couldn't make up my mind with where to place the wish big brush I kept going back and forth - where it is or up in the top middle... Journaling Reads: My first day working at the hotel, I got A call from the HR Dept., “Cheryl, I’m sorry but You can only wear one pair of earrings!” WHAT??? It was at that moment when I decided that the first thing I was going to do When I left the hotel was to get my ears re-pierced. After six years of stress, crap & a whole lot of other stuff, I decided that I didn’t want to play the game anymore and I quit!!! Guess what I did that afternoon! 6/4/10

I was going thru some old photos and came across this picture of my sister on her wedding, they just celebrated their 20th anniversary a few months ago. This has always been one of my favorite pictures. Any CC is greatly appreciated.

Our DD (who will be 21 in a couple of weeks) recently moved away from home. Not just down the street mind you but all the way to North Carolina. This LO was done to honor her friendship with her high school buddy, who by the way spent many a day/night at our home. We miss her so much - she left on the 1st of June.
