Digital LO: Apple G5: PSCS4. Credits: Tangie Baxter Designs: "Shiver Me Timbers": orange paper, orange swirl, golden starfish, buttons, compass, glittery frame. Fonts: Jazz, American Typewriter. This is one of the section header in my Puerto Rico hybrid album. Journaling: Palomino Island is nothing short of spectacular. It may be only 7 miles long, but every single grain of sand in it is magnificent. The water on the shore laps gently. The breeze coming from the ocean is tranquil. Pinkish sands stretch 7 miles, and palm trees sway so gracefully in the wind. Corals strewn on the beach are slightly peppered with bits of red. The pink tinge comes from the Sargasso seaweed that roams the North Atlantic Ocean which has made its way here.

On Saturday, I read the newsletter and found out what the High Noon challenge will be for this week. I looked for the appropriate photo and culled my getting-out-of-control digiscrapping tools so that for once, I'd actually be scrapping while I chatted with the lovely ladies at High Noon. I was ready. So, on the day of the scrap, I promptly went to the chat room at noon, but I got stuck at the lobby. Where was Vaughnde? Betsy? I scrolled over each room, and nobody was around. I went back to lobby, hoping to find someone on line. Where was everybody? That's when I realized it was Thursday! I missed the day! Anyway, here's my LO.

Digital lo (PSCS2). My oldest sister and I have birthdays a day apart. On my last birthday, my sister surprised me with a joint surprise birthday party! (and I thought I was just visiting family half an ocean away!) The home-made carrot cake was yummy, but the joy and laughter we shared were more delicious. Materials: Anna Aspness "Something Springy" solids2 BG, BG patterns4,5, SG "Refresh" ribbon by Shalae Tippets, BG flowers by Betsey Lombardi, edge overlay by Anna Aspness, Shabby Princess "Sunporch" by Amy Teets: stitching, photo corner2, brad3, journal overlay. I forgot the name of the font I used.

I knew I wanted to scrap a fantasy setting when I took this picture of my daughter and niece jumping onn the beach. I knew I wanted to alter the context, and so I culled the internet for the perfect elements for my page. I chanced upon Tangie Baxter Designs and found the perfect kit! I have never used just one kit to scrap my LOs, but in this case, I didn't have to look any further. What I had in mind all along was a Midsummer Night's Dream theme, and this kit had it all, including Puck! So, in this digital LO--as usual, using PSCS2--I used Tangie Baxter's "Midsummer" kit: glittered wings, crown, fairies, pearl cream, paper, picture of Puck, silver swirl, alphas, even the quote! (This was the quote I had in mind; imagine my delight when I found it incorporated in the kit!)
