  3. Lat this afternoon we received the awaited phone call from our solicitor to say the contract on the people buying our home has gone unconditional. Now we can make definite plans to purchase our dream home we fell in love with back in August.

  6. I was just informed of the death yesterday of the lady I was feeding lunch to each Thursday when I do my volunteer work in Aged Care. I am feeling a little sad as yesterday was the anniversary of my mother's death two years ago.

  7. For those who saw my Art Journal page about me being on a roller coaster with the selling of our home and moving closer to my daughter.... after a phone call from daughter today I am not sure where I am on the roller coaster - up or down - I think I just flew off the rails. She told us not to rush into buying another home... they may be moving and buying a property with two houses so we can live in one.

  12. Tomorrow morning my husband and I head off in our caravan for three nights at Somerset Dam where hopefully my husband will enjoy some fishing as we celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Where this dam is, I am unsure of the reception for my mobile internet so if you do not notice me making comments in the gallery or replying to any posts in the forum... that is why. We will be back Saturday.

  14. You will possibly see more of me this year as the site where I was very active behind the scenes with hosting three challenges a month closed down last month. It was a sad happening as the site started 11 years ago. It left a lot of people feeling very lost as it all happened suddenly.

  16. I have done something to my right shoulder on Thursday when I lifted a wheelie walker out of a taxi - my voluntary work in aged care. It was sort of okay yesterday but today I am in agony if I lift my arm. So thankful I have a pen and tablet so I could do some digi today.

If it doesn't get better, I would go to the doctor. I had a slight dislocation once and could lift my arm to the front but not to the side. A quick pop (that hurt like the dickens!) and it was all better.

  17. We arrived home last night from our great time away.. the cruise was wonderful and really enjoyed time with my brother and his wife at Rotorua - saw lots of the area. The internet on the cruise was way too expensive so now I need to catch up a lot of emails etc. so hopefully you will see some holiday layouts soon.

  19. I have just returned from a little holiday at a very Australian bush setting even with kangaroos hopping past our caravan and eating grass at night near our van. So with it being in a fairly remote area I could not get any internet. Hope everyone here are doing well.

  23. I decided to do an experiment. I popped in here using Internet Explorer instead of my Chrome browser and I can now see the ad at the top. I wonder why with Chrome it does not show up? I am not complaining as I prefer not seeing the add as they would not apply to me living here in Australia.

      Nica

I think it depends more on the add-ons you have for a particular browser than where you live. For example, I can see the ads on IE because I don't do anything with IE and haven't added anything to it. However, I used Firefox all the time and have added an ads blocker so I don't see ads on any sites that I visit. Your IP address will dictate the ads you see, making sure that they are local. HTH
