  1. Congratulations to all the winners. We're all going to have fun shopping! And also wind up with a beautiful book!
  2. I have decided what I'm going to do this year. For each month I'm going to write myself a letter about the month. This letter may or may not have any pictures. During the month I will have pages showcasing various events, trips, pictures etc. Will use a mix of various templates and kits.
  3. Text: This has been a busy month with all the hoopla about Christmas and my computer being in the shop having major work, Windows had to be re-installed. All my programs were gone! Spent a great deal of time installing. Discovered that some of my favorites were no longer free. Or would no nonger install with the newer versions of Windows. Bummer, big time!! I designed and printed our Christmas Cards and envelopes myself this year. Like how they turned out. But had trouble installing the printer and getting it to work. Had set it to work with the laptop and it didn't like switching to the desktop. Took much longer to print cards than I intended and was late getting them mailed. Have also had some issues with my heart. My pulse is erratic with spikes being quite high. Am on a medication that has moderated the high points. My pulse is mostly in the high 50s or low 60s now. It is still spiking, just not going as high. See Dr. next month. Other than that all is well. We have been to Ridgefield three times this month. We have gotten some really great pictures. Had Christmas dinner with our usual group, Janine, Steve and Dianne. John was suppose to come, but stayed home when he didn't feel well. That was much appreciated. Talked to my sister and all is well with her. Got a card from Robbie, a second cousin once removed. He is 98 and doing well. Every year I wonder if I will hear from him. He lives in Las Vegas and I would love to see him again. Will have to see. One of my goals this month was to lose some weight. Mostly by not eating so many nuts, especially peanuts. Well I am down eight pounds! This next year my goal is to lose the next ten pounds that I need to come off. Mike go new hearing aids. The old one were not working as well as they should. The were 5 years old and like all electronics outdate. Like his new one much better. I have gone six months with a bladder infection. I hopw this continues for another six. Kenny is doing better although he has to be on oxygen and gets tired. Long Covid is a real bummer. Well, 2023 is gone, but not forgotten! 4. I'm in again for the coming year. I'm thinking of change up the templates I use. Maybe. Still haven't decided. I do like Marlene's templates that you can use for an overview for the month. I will also post in both places so everyone can keep track. Here's to a good year for everyone. January: Cold, Project Life Journal February: Preface February March: April: May: June: July: August: September: October: November: December:
  5. I just posted a page for October. We were on vacation and somehow I missed that month! Still have December to finish and another page for November to finish up. @MikelleWecome. I'm sure you will do an awesome job of keeping us on our toes. @LauraThanks for all your hard work and keeping track of us. Enjoy you time off!

  7. Text: Over the years we have made a tradition of having our single friends and family to our house for Christmas dinner. This started some thirty-five years ago. The kids had all flown the nest and there was just the two of us. We have had assorted friends live with us for various periods of time and this grew out of that. We have two male friends who have never married and a girlfriend who is divorced. And also a daughter who is now single and who lives close by. There are times when someone does something else, but we usually have a least two of them for dinner. This year one of our friends came down with a cold (at least I hope it is just a cold) and he was thoughtful and stayed home. 11. Text: On one of our trips to the Ridgefield NWR we saw this female Northern Harrier circling a meadow. I manage to keep her in my camera lens and keep the shutter going for some time. She finally spotted something and dropped down, claws extended toward the ground. We couldn't see what she had caught, but she had her lunch. Picnic style she sat in the grasses and ate her meal. 12. @FigmentFor one word titles I like 'Remember', 'Remembering', or 'Memories'. Two word title I like 'Life Scraps'. What ever you come up with I'm sure I will use it! Hope there continues to be an 8.5x11 option.
  13. Just finished printing up my Christmas cards and getting ready to mail. Had to set up the printer to work on the laptop, which has Windows 11. Finally got that done. Then I found I can't print outof PS.😬:grr: Spent most of yesterday trying to figure out how to print my card size from Windows. Got that figured and then this morning doesn't want to print right. Pulling my hair! Finally 😁 They are done!!

  14. They certainly are. And we have very few of them. Film and developing were very dear in those days of not much money. My mother is in the other side of this picture and I'm going to make a companion page using her side.

Leslie and Nick, along with kids Braden and Charlie, drove down from Camano Island to spend Thanksgiving with us. This is the first time they have been here for Thanksgiving. They were here for almost five days. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the greatest. Most of the time it rained. Had a couple of days with some sun breaks and did take some pictures. We had a really good visit and of course a great meal. They brought a fresh ham from Charlie's 4H pig. Was really good and juicy. We ate breakfast every morning and Mike and I both gained weight! We are now on diets!!
  21. Anyone got their 2024 calendars done yet? Got mine finished and ordered last night. First big printing from Shutterfly. Hope they do a decent job. Costco spoiled me!! Now on to Christmas cards.

I print my own because it is just for me and I print it two months at a time so they fit on the one sheet of cardstock.  They are not very big.

I sometimes do that for my hubby. So far this year he hasn't chosen any pictures to do that with.
