My crafting history... I have been scrapbooking since I was a young girl,before it was popular and multi-million dollar business. I realize from an early age while staring at boxes of my mother's information-less pictures that you need to write down who people are in the pictures or no one will remember who they are. Once the peoples' names are forgotten,then they are forgotten and the memory once treasured is lost. That's how I got started,putting pictures in albums ,so that I could write the information under the picture and forever seal

the memory in an album. I felt as though I was saving people from being forgotten. Off on a mission,I went. I cataloged my life through school and high school.Then I cataloged my marriage memories and baby's firsts. I realized that what I had been doing for years was called scrapbooking, when I was about 30. Imagine my surprise ,when my eyes were opened to the world of stickers and die cuts...the beautiful papers and decorative scissors..and what about all of those pen tips in vast and fabulous colors. From there,I have branched out a little bit to include stamping, embossing,glittering, and maybe a card or two. Most recently (last month or so) I have taken an interest in digital scrapbooking,only because as a Creative Memories Consultant,I was being slowly forced to embrace digital. lol I still haven't figured out how to use my software ,but finding pretty things to play with are a lot of fun, so much fun I might like this scrapbookingmore than paper and pen.

Personally speaking... I was in a serious car wreck 10 years ago that changed my life forever. Because of the spinal and nerve injuries sustained in the wreck and the 2 surgeries that followed,I have had long and continuous days of constant pain and depression. That wreck has cost me my entire way of life in every way. I find comfort in the love of the Lord and of my husband and and family.Trying to keep my mind off of things with pleasant distractions seems to be a good rememdy for the blues.

I married my high school sweetheart and 23 yrs later ,we still love each other and our two children. My oldest starts college in August. My favorite movie is Gone With the Wind. My favorite colors are shades of pinks and rose and along with the shades of purple. I can't choose.I have tried,but my whole life I have loved both colors equally. I can't decide which I love more the Victorian Era or the classic 40's. I love movies and books that are historical dramas,biographies,and auto biographies. Although ,I am not an avid reader. The best book I have ever read ,hands down,was the Bible. It has everything from sex,jealousy,love,and war.
