  1. Thank you! I'm not really up to speed on the workings of this forum, so I don't know why my layout was hard to find (someone else mentioned they had trouble finding it, too). I didn't even know it was a weekly gallery winner until today! I love the Cucina Kit and look forward to using it again with some of my other recipes. Yes, that episode of Raymond obviously made an impression on me! One of our favorite shows of all time! Thanks again for the kind words! Cindy
  2. Thanks Jan711! Feel free to copy as this is not my original recipe--I found it online. It was delicious! Will definitely make it again and again!

  3. Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the feedback!

  6. You had the same idea as me when I saw this month's Memory Lane kit...I dug out all the old family photos, scanned them, and am now scrapping them all with the Memory Lane kit. Great job!
  7. I love the colors in this kit, too! Beautiful layout and wonderful idea to make a card for your parents...I bet they loved it!
  8. Thank you so much for the encouragement!
  9. Thanks everyone for the kind words. I noticed that you couldn't read the journaling in the orange rectangle (even with magnification), so here is what is written--It explains the Everybody Loves Raymond Picture I have included on the page! "Another TV show inspired recipe, this is from the 4th Season of Everybody Loves Raymond, Episode #18, Debra Makes Something Good. Debra throws the Barone family into turmoil when she finally creates a dish that everyone likes. Ray can’t believe it when he samples Debra’s braciole. Marie, of course, is jealous. After watching the episode, I tried in vain to find it online, but braciole is spelled nothing like it sounds (brujole), so I was stumped. I eventually found it and saved the recipe for nearly 4 years. I finally made this on September 10, 2011 and it was a big hit with the boys and their two friends, Mohamed and Luke. I had also never made Italian Risotto, but found a bag of arborio rice in the pantry and followed the recipe on the bag...another big hit! Chauncy had brought home some Jimmy John’s day old bread, so we toasted that and made a green salad with blackberries, bleu cheese, and pecans."
  10. I'm fixing the font arrangement on the chalkboard, btw...that happened when I had to replace the fonts...I didn't notice the spacing had changed until I had uploaded it and of course printed it out! Get to it tomorrow!

    Artman Family Cookbook

My college-age daughter became worried that once she left home, she wouldn't know how to cook all the good things we have had over the years, so I decided to create a digital scrapbook of our favorite recipes, including stories about them, how they came to be, where they came from and also included family photos. Now I can make copies for my 2 sons and anyone else who would like one! And it can continue to expand.

  16. I just checked in after a long absence...fired up and doing massive digital scrapping, but noticed that 3 of my scrap pages are missing from my gallery! I didn't remove them, anyone have any ideas why they disappeared? Thanks!

Hi. If you click on one of yours...such as "Family Christmas card 2009"...then look at the thumbnails photostrip below where the image and description would be, you'll see other ones with just the red x. There was a glitch during a server switch (or something) and the images were lost. You can edit the listing and put the image back in. Hope that helps. :)

  17. It would certainly save some time! I would love to seem more retro everything!
  18. This was our family Christmas card for 2009 Supplies: digital paper: lynng-retro-christmas-6.jpg The alpha for "Merry Christmas" was scanned and saved as .png using Doubletakes "Cheerfully Christmas" cardstock stickers The Christmas hats: MRE_SantaHats_Emb_Hat1.png MRE_SantaHats_Emb_Hat3.png, MRE_SantaHats_Emb_Hat5.png, MRE_SantaHats_Emb_Hat6.png The retro clothes were scanned from old magazines or taken from old ads I found on the internet using Google image search. This was a lot of fun to make!

    Kitchen Guides

What a great idea! I'm scrapping a family cookbook and have the Cucina Kit you used, or something very similar. The great thing about doing it digitally is I can make 3 copies, one for each of my kids! Very nice!

    Our Heidi Girl

We lost a cat at age 17 and one at 14 years, so when they go, it's hard! But you have created a beautiful tribute to Heidi. I can tell she was well-loved!
