I needed to make a sympathy card for my Brother-in-law whose sister died yesterday so I made sure I used something from my Scrap Girls stash to make the card.

Level 9 warnings in the Western Cape for bad wind. Two trucks have been blown over already. Trees, roof tiles, fences and much more damage. Fires in Paarl. Tonight, the rain starts and then there will be flooding. We are safe here, but I feel sorry for the people in the bad areas.

Thanks Jane. Everyone is safe on the farms. Nedelene is Knysna got so much rain. The homes in the town are all flooded. Luckily, her farm is okay.
Jan, my son at the House on the Hill farm, said he always prayed to one day have a farm with a river. He bought a farm with a river and now, after the heavy rain, he has got two rivers. 🙄
The worst is over down here but the storm is moving up the coast. The warning level has dropped from level 9 to level 6.
I always tell my son, one day, I'm going to buy a caravan and move onto the farm. He said he would put me next to the river. That's where all the flooding is. 🤣

The wind in Cape Town is so strong, it's reversing the waves. Such a storm and no waves. I'm hoping the worst passed in the night before the people go on the roads to work this morning. The schools are even closing in the worst hit areas. Thank you all for your concern. We are known as the Cape of Storms.

Things are bad at the moment and getting worse. Thank goodness my granddaughter, Bianca, made it home safely. They are closing all the mountain passes in the Western Cape. It looks like the worst of the storm is going to hit in Helderberg where my son has a farm. Luckily, my family is all staying put at home.

I've got visitors so didn't open my laptop on Sunday. I felt for the All Blacks. I think they played the better game but I'm thrilled that we won. The expression on the All Blacks captain's face was so sad when the final whistle blew. I really felt very sorry for him. I'm terribly proud of our team. Well done bokke!

On Tuesday I will be getting a shoulder replacement so will not be able to scrap for 3-4 weeks till I can take the sling off. I will be watching from the sidelines!!! Happy Scrapping ScrapGirls

I am so happy, had to share the news. Got this message a few minutes ago: "Your art piece, I'm Rare, matched all contest rules and guidelines and has moved forward to judging." So Awesome!! Incidentally, this is the same piece that made it into New Hampshire's Institute of Disabilities 2024 calendar!

My computer has broken down. Probably from all the layouts that I did in the last 2 months. I had to take it in today. That is why I was rushing to finish my bingo. The guy says he doesn't know if he can retrieve anything. I've got 2 months of SG stash that I will have to download again. 😪 Not to even mention the photos.

Yesterday mimes1-Amy with her husband and daughter came to hang out with us at the campsite....We had a very enjoyable day. If you ever have a chance to meet her...do it.

Yesterday I lay down for a nap at about 2pm….. woke up this morning at 8:15 longest nap in history! My body must have needed that.
