On the ride home from Jody’s wedding Darren stopped at various places including the town of Lochiel with its pink salt lakes. The middle photo is a photo he sent me recently, the other two are from my visit there in 2016.
Journaling reads:
From Darren: “Can you remember the pink lake we visited on our way home from Moonta? The small town of Lochiel now has a new claim to fame, a new Eel! I recently took a picture while passing through early one morning which I think you might like. For years there was the “Loch-eel” which consisted on some tires and a make shift head which was often stolen and/or vandalised and they have decided to make something more permanent and vandal-proof.” May 24, 2021
