I decided to tidy my cupboards - one per day. My house will never have been so organised!

  3. I'm so excited, we are going to meet up with Diane (FloridaGranny) and her husband for lunch today. We didn't get together last winter so we have lots to catch up on. Have a fun day everyone.

  4. :bdayparty: Marilyn, one very special member here at Scrap Girls who is always making lovely comments on so many of our pages in the gallery.  Thankyou and have a wonderful day for your Birthday ( 6th March)

  6. I passed my 12th  anniversary in November 2019. WOW! Can't believe I've been a ScrapGirl that long. Started with PSE5 and now I'm using PSE2019. 🙀

Congratulations Carol! My scrapbooking career started with PSE5 - I've only progressed to PSE9!

  7. Just purchased some new product, the first in quite a while. I'm going to try and create a layout. My hands are still giving me problems, but I'm going to give it a try.  It might take me a few days, but I'll give it my best.

  8. The way it's looking I don't think the kids will go to school this week.  Monday = holiday, Tuesday canceled due to ice on country roads, Wed more snow and ice coming.  UGH

  9. Three years ago today Jody died.  Darren and the boys are well and the boys are growing into young men, “Jody would be proud of”.  Aidan graduated from High School in December and Callan is now 16 ½.  Amazing how time flies.  Darren is touched when I say how Jody is still remembered on ScrapGirls and even recognizes the names when I show him.  She touched so many and is sorely missed... 💕

3 years - it can't be! I'm so glad you keep in touch with her family and that they know Jody is not forgotten by us here.

  10. So we have broken bones... Dashiel dropped his dads 25lb weight on his feet. Left foot3 broken bones, right one just bruised badly.... poor kid.

  11. Happy New Year to all my Scrap Girl friends.

  12. one of my friends on FB said if there was no bad luck, I’d have no luck at all... yep. All my food is ruined  ‘fridge is freezing everything. All my new veggies, trashed. My eggs, trashed, my brick of cream cheese, trashed... need I say more? My Christmas dinner is in the trash. Only my roast to eat.

  13. I just want to say "Thank You" to Scrap Girls- you all have been so faithful to have this creative home for us to come to for inspiration, fabulous LOs to drool over and for especially making us all feel welcome and encouraged! ( you have just really touched my heart over the years!)

I so agree with you and I feel so guilty that I don't always have the time to LSL in the gallery. I love Scrap Girls and have never strayed. Scrap Girls has given me a hobby that I am sure will never leave me and I am as enthusiastic about digital scrapping as I was when I joined. Life gets in the way I'm afraid and other things have to take centre stage at the moment.

  14. I’m so tired of being sick.  Day 6 now of an extreme case of sinusitis.  Fever, sore body, pressure and major exhaustion.  I have not moved for almost a week.  I’m finally on an antibiotic but was told it could be 2-3 weeks before I’m over this even with the meds.

So sorry to hear that Angie. There's never a good time to be sick but Christmas is the worst.

  15. Catastrophic EHD failure here.  How is your Monday-after-the-holiday? 😲

  16. Ken and I were to head off on a little holiday tomorrow but plans have changed -  The highway we would need to travel on tomorrow is closed where we would need to travel on it because of the Bush fires. We decided to cancel as even if the road opened tomorrow it might be a risk for us returning home next Wednesday, plus there are other fires burning near places we would need to travel through to get to our destination.

Sounds like you made a wise choice. Hope you can get away soon.

  17. This seems wrong. I have neighbors (4 on my street) that have Christmas trees and lights up already!.... Is it wrong? Or is it ok?

  18. Down-under, our greater Sydney region is fire-rated today at the highest level of Catastrophic! High winds, no humidity, no rain, 37°C/99°F and all the bush is incredibly dry! 600 schools have been closed and it's quite smoky anyway from the terrible fires in the north of our state that have killed three and destroyed 150 homes! Our thoughts have been with the Californians as we too are going through a very dry time. Summer hasn't even arrived yet so it doesn't bode well for the next three months!

Susie - the fires in the Sydney area is attracting a good deal of coverage on the BBC. People in the UK are aware of what you're going through and wish everyone safe and sound.

  19. Ugh...we've got the "S" word in the forecast for this week

  20. I had planned on submitting some layouts for SG's 15th Anniversary but have run into a problem. After exiting last Saturday's chat, I started to work on a layout and my PSE 2019 crashed! To make a long story short I have spent a total of 72 hours with Adobe, Microsoft Windows and HP over the last 10 days trying to fix the problem. Apparently all three had done updates that seem to be conflicting with each other! I am hopeful that things will be resolved soon and I'll get my laptop back. I pray this doesn't happen to anybody else!

  21. Friday at last! But here’s my news. Alopecia areata
Also called: AA, patchy hair loss
Sudden hair loss that starts with one or more circular bald patches that may overlap.
Alopecia areata occurs when the immune system attacks hair follicles, and is (in my case) and be brought on by severe stress.
This is the autoimmune disease I have, second time in my life. It sucks buckets! Extensive and hard treatment begins on Monday. For now I am bald everywhere! and have to wear hats. So be it!

Oh Andrea! Let's hope the treatment works well and quickly. Sending you very best wishes.

  23. I’m stuck in Newark airport.  Which is actually where I started out 8 ½ hours ago.  Delay. Delay again. On plane sat an hour.  Moved toward runway sat another hour.    Then pilot announced route to Rochester closed due to weather.   Awhile later they found another route but it was lower and longer so we didn’t have enough fuel.  Plus they were receiving notifications about our plane so it needed to be serviced.   So that flight was cancelled and all the rest tonight and tomorrow are full. So now they are bussing all of us to Rochester and the bus won’t get here til 9:30 pm. A 5 hour drive so we should be in around 3am or so......   I won’t even tell you about the outside walking and ramps and stairs to get to a bus to get to the plane in the first place. And then do it all again to come back..  Meanwhile the website announced us as landed in Rochester!I hope I get there by 4:30 tomorrow for the wedding.
