  1. Note: I'm so glad to finish and upload this page. It has torn my heart out all over again to have to journal this. journaling: Sunday was our last day in Chattanooga. Our first stop was the Tennessee Aquarium. Penguins! Lemurs! Otters! Dave in a shark cage!!! (He’s gonna need a bigger boat.) We were hot, and Dave was beyond worn out, but after a cool drink or two we took a double decker bus tour. We had already scheduled it from home, and it set off from right by the aquarium. Rufus was our tour guide, and we learned a lot of things about the local history. Moon Pies were first made right across the river from our hotel!! Yumm! Dinner was at Sticky Fingers, and this was the only time it rained all weekend. We got soaked getting from the parking lot to the entry. I don’t even want to write this, but sadness is just another part of life. Dusty was so happy to have us home. On Wednesday we took him to the vet for a re-check on his ears and on Thursday night at about 8:00 he left us. He wasn’t feeling well and he simply laid down in the dining room and died. We donated his food and treats to Texas, for Hurricane Harvey Relief. supplies: AFT_BS_Cal2016, CRO_SwapMeet_Paper_GreenRustic, GWH_GrandmasVanity_CSM_Ppr-Damask-Green, MPE_ScrapIt_Monthly_DateMarkers_Brushes, SBA_SSStyles_PhotoBorders_6501_WhiteSm, SNU_SSStyles_ShadowMe6301_Lace-Wire, SRO_GMaGarden_Paper_16, Font: Arial, CVW_SupplyTracker
  2. (Note: Third and last page for this very busy week!) Journaling: It’s not the last day of vacation, but it is the last day of this week! I’m amazed we can keep up this pace! After our trip up the Incline Railway, we drove back down the mountain and into Chattanooga. We made our way to the famous Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel. I loved getting up close with a caboose. My maternal grandfather, Marion Kesler, was a brakeman for the C&O Railroad in West Virginia. I actually have one of his lanterns, like the black one in the picture! We cooled off at the Frothy Monkey, and then set off for the Chattanooga Zoo. I’m sorry to say that it was small, and we weren’t terribly impressed with the exhibits. It was stiflingly hot so most of the animals had retreated into their habitats. The camel at the camel rides was nice enough to pose for me, though. Back at the hotel we had a wonderful swim in the indoor pool, took a nap, and then went to dinner at Puckett’s Grocery where Dave scored the find of a lifetime! To be continued on next week’s page! supplies: AFT_BS_Cal2016, CRO_SwapMeet_Paper_GreenRustic, GWH_GrandmasVanity_CSM_Ppr-Damask-Green, MPE_ScrapIt_Monthly_DateMarkers_Brushes, SBA_SSStyles_PhotoBorders_6501_WhiteSm, SNU_SSStyles_ShadowMe6301_Lace-Wire, SRO_GMaGarden_Paper_16, sts_traindays_allaboard (non-SG), sts_traindays_caboose (non-SG), sts_traindays_flair2 (non-SG), "Chattanooga Choo Choo" music used with permission of the publisher, Fonts: Arial, Chunk Five, CVW_SupplyTracker
  3. Ooh, such pretties! Can't wait!
  4. Week 34 is going to be ten pages long, LOL. Week 34 and Week 34B have been posted. :-)
  5. (Page two for this week, at least one more to come! Too many things to document this week.) journaling: I have a new/old camera just in time for our trip! I’ve tried in vain to get used to the new camera I bought in June but it’s just futile. I found my old one on eBay and the seller shipped it overnight! Dusty got his new meds and a toy was included, and my new business cards arrived. Dave’s new glasses arrived and we picked them up on our way out of town on Friday. Three days and nights in Chattanooga! Rocky, my moose from Canada, was our travel mascot. Friday we wandered around and had dinner at Lupi’s Pizza. Pizza and a glass of wine apiece and then it was back to the hotel to sit on the balcony and watch the boats on the Tennessee River. Saturday morning we took the Incline Railway up to the top of Lookout Mountain. What a fantastic view! supplies: AFT_BS_Cal2016, CRO_SwapMeet_Paper_GreenRustic, GWH_GrandmasVanity_CSM_Ppr-Damask-Green.jpg MPE_ScrapIt_Monthly_DateMarkers_Brushes, SBA_SSStyles_PhotoBorders_6501_WhiteSm, SNU_SSStyles_ShadowMe6301_Lace-Wire, SRO_GMaGarden_Paper_16, Fonts: Arial, ChunkFive, CVW_SupplyTracker
  6. journaling: Smyrna, Tennessee was one of the cities that experienced totality in the solar eclipse! Our church hosted an event and it was such an amazing experience to share with friends and neighbors. Even though we had already purchased our viewing glasses, the church provided a pair to everyone who came. My camera wasn’t equipped to handle it, so I’ve borrowed two photos from a church friend. Rolen Waggoner took the two bottom photos from his and Margie’s back yard! The darkness was eerie. From the lawn at the church we watched all of the street lights turn on automatically, and the birds all quieted. The crickets began to chirp as if it was nighttime. supplies: AFT_BS_Cal2016, CRO_SwapMeet_Paper_GreenRustic, GWH_GrandmasVanity_CSM_Ppr-Damask-Green.jpg MPE_ScrapIt_Monthly_DateMarkers_Brushes, SBA_SSStyles_PhotoBorders_6501_WhiteSm, SNU_SSStyles_ShadowMe6301_Lace-Wire, SRO_GMaGarden_Paper_16, PSE9 Style: wow-neon-orange-off, Fonts: Arial, ChunkFive, CVW_SupplyTracker
  7. Welcome back to SG!
  8. I'm up to Week 33.
  9. Journaling: Ruh roh! Those used to be Dave’s new glasses that are only a couple months old. Dusty got hold of them and as soon as I heard “crunch” I knew there was trouble. The manager at Vision Works gave us retroactive insurance and they are only costing $60 to replace instead of closer to $700. We got a kick out of the t-shirt over on the left. It’s pretty accurate! Avian Glen is a new winery here in Smyrna. We went to their grand opening and wine tasting. We have a new granddog! Our daughter and her boyfriend adopted Dolly Mae. She is tiny and SO adorable! From what I hear she is also spoiled rotten already. She is the perfect size for an apartment. You can see how well-loved she is! supplies: AFT_BS_Cal2016, CRO_SwapMeet_Paper_GreenRustic, GWH_FureverFriends_WA-Tag-Blank-Arrow-TanRed, GWH_FureverFriends_WA-Tag-Blank-Red, GWH_GrandmasVanity_CSM_Ppr-Damask-Green, MPE_ScrapIt_Monthly_DateMarkers_Brushes, SBA_SSStyles_PhotoBorders_6501_WhiteSm, SNU_SSStyles_ShadowMe6301_Lace-Wire, SRO_GMaGarden_Paper_16, Fonts: Arial, CoolDots, CVW_SupplyTracker
  10. So beautiful! I have enjoyed my three hummingbirds this summer.
  11. Journaling: School time already?! Our grands in Georgia went back to school this week. It’s impossible that Athena is in First Grade and Zander is in Pre-K! My hummingbirds just amaze me. They perch on the fence and on the brace that holds their flowers. There are three of them now and they dart around all day. It’s my birthday! Dave sent me flowers and a balloon and they are just gorgeous! He looks so much better than last week. The two of us went out for dinner, to my favorite place - Famous Dave's BBQ. It’s my choice every year and boy, do I indulge! This year I “met” one of their bartenders on a local community Facebook Page, and he said to ask for him when we came in. I did, and he made me THE most decadent fruity rum drink! Thanks, Austin Holt! I share a birthday with Snoopy! supplies: AFT_BS_Cal2016, AFT_SchoolRules_WordArt_First, BMU_SSStyles_Plumeria_Grape, CRO_SwapMeet_Paper_GreenRustic, DRB_Summer-Story_Emb_Heart, GWH_GrandmasVanity_CSM_Ppr-Damask-Green, MPE_ScrapIt_Monthly_DateMarkers_Brushes, SBA_SSStyles_PhotoBorders_6501_WhiteSm, SNU_SSStyles_ShadowMe6301_Lace-Wire, SRO_GMaGarden_Paper_16, Fonts: Arial, Chunk Five, CVW_SupplyTracker
  12. Weeks 30 and 31 are up.
  13. So bittersweet doing the pages for August, we had no way of knowing that we would be losing Dusty Puppy on the 31st. Journaling: On Sunday morning Dave subbed for Tim, even though he was still not feeling well. He was pretty shaky, and everyone was very worried about him. After church he plowed ahead and we went to Amy & Brian’s for a pool party. He hung in there, but the next morning I insisted that we were going to the Emergency Room. The doctor would have been a waste of time, because she would have sent him there anyway. They ran test after test (EKG, MRI, CT Scan, abdominal ultrasound, and an esophageal scan and biopsy) and determined that he only (?) was severely dehydrated. That’s what happens when you throw up for weeks and don’t eat or drink much. After five bags of IV saline and three days, he was finally released to come home. Dusty really missed him. I have video of him looking for Dave when I asked “Where’s daddy?” Poor pup! While Dave was in the hospital I helped the church booth for National Night Out Against Crime. Dave’s office sent flowers, and as you can see, Dusty was a very happy boy! Now we just have to keep him hydrated and work on getting him better. 14. Journaling: This was a very quiet week. Dave still isn’t feeling a hundred percent, so we stayed close to home. I took a brisk walk around Gregory Mill Park. Once around the greenway is just under a mile, so I walked it twice. I loved seeing the black-eyed Susans along the way. My Granny always had a vase full of them on her table. Christine Ritter is a friend of mine from back in Miami. We served on quite a few Via de Cristo teams together, and she was passing through on her way back to Florida. She came by for a visit and we went to O’Charley’s for a late lunch. On Sunday after church we had a pot luck lunch simply for fun. Tim Hayden led some songs and Billy Knight strummed along. We sat right up front with the pastor’s wife, Judy, and had a blast just being silly! 15. Odd. In the boutique, does anyone else see "You have already purchased this product" beneath things you've never purchased?

      Mikelle

I notice that a lot, too.  I did ask about one collection a few months ago, that I thought I HAD indeed purchased, and it turned out I did buy it but never downloaded, so it was right on that one.  Otherwise, it says I've bought several things I know I haven't.  If only...

I see them too. I also notice that some items I did purchase aren't listed as already purchased. Gremlins at work.
