Survived the heat ~ won the match. A good afternoon!

  2. Loved the reminder to download my most recent pictures for this challenge. DBF and I went to the new Salvador Dali museum last weekend. I pondered on whether to journal or not on this one...so much to say about my impressions of his body of work...too much for a single page. Plus, not being allowed to take photos in the galleries themselves, had no material other than the building itself...which is, also a piece of art. Alas, I've played enough with this one. It is done! Silly Belle :-) We walked on a beach that is known for its sharks teeth...found about 3 dozen or so! I feel a LO coming soon!

  4. Love, as always, the grunge look you have here. Your journaling is sweet and special and will be a great memory for all the girls ~ young and youngest alike! You've combined all of the different kits so well, I would just call it "the Jody collection" :-) Love it, scrapping sister!
  5. Thank you DixieLee, yes...I just joined. This is my very first foray into scrapbooking of any kind (other than pressing and saving corsages from my youth!) I read a ton and soak up like a sponge and I'm hooked, to say the least! Thank you for your compliments.

  6. Sweet, sweet, sweet! Love the frameset and the addition of the teal flower and the new center you've given to the other one. The butterfly just adds an extra pop to the page!
  7. I just love the feeling evoked in that top photo ~ spunky girls!! I like the alpha you've used and the cluster...as well as the frames and the lifted edges. Really nicely done!
  8. Perfect in every way ~ with such great photos...who needs more?? :-)
  9. What an incredible photograph!! I like the criss-cross stitching you've added to the perfectly simple frame...as well as the linen behind the photograph (I just love that piece we got in the SS Club!) Very well done!!
  10. I like the sunflowers that you added to the papers and the frame you selected for the great photo. Nice LO!
  11. I really like the blending on the upper right hand corner of your LO ~ colors are perfect. I also like how you extracted portions to lay over Grace's portrait...well done!
  12. This was my first road trip out of Milan ~ my friend and language exchange partner, Alessandro, decided we should take a day to explore. It was chilly and hazy ... but it made for some great photos. I had a great time playing with this layout! I knew immediately what picture I wanted to use when I saw Angie's freebie...but really wanted to give it that "just-so" aged look. After last weeks texture challenge, I decided to give it another try and after fussing around (yeah, for hours) I ended up with a few happy accidents. I am really pleased with how this turned out ~ now, if I can only remember what I did........... 13. Just as a matter of interest, we are all in the same photo, I didn't do any extraction-Aidan is just in the foreground and I framed him- he does seem big though doesn't he?!? I can see how it looks like I extracted him, but these are portraits we had done in front of that grungy graffiti wall I love so much :-) Well, that is indeed interesting! Yes, he does look bigger than he should...it's a great perspective! And I too love that graffiti wall :-)
  14. Once again, I peruse the gallery and can instantly spot your work Jode. I am so impressed! I love the grunge look, your extraction of Aidan to put him against the graffiti wall, all of the little subtle touches. The paint splats, the checkmark for the "good boy". Journaling on the side. Love it. Love it. Love it.
  15. Love how Alex just "goes for it" and you did too with your layout! He just zooms right into my living room with your wonderful extraction. A proud moment for sure!
  16. Fabulous 2-page layout...the colors set the mood, the journaling engages and the photos tell the story. Super job!
  17. Dot ~ this is just wonderful...you did a great job with a second (or third) generation photo. Sweet kit too that you've used!
  18. I played with all kinds of things here. The background paper became what it was with the Impressionist Brush. All of the other elements are extractions from other photographs I have taken. The "poem" was written for a writing challenge I participate in. I love how it all came together!! What a great and fun challenge this was!
  19. I'm not sure of any other way to upload ~ so bear with me. This is the photo I used to create my textured paper ~ it is of a purse I crocheted.
  20. Ooooo ~ I just love all of the flower embellishments you've added to this. And the text curves and title ~ all so perfectly suited for your great LO!
  21. Great layout all the way around! Very talented mom you have too...guess it's genetic :-) I really like the cutout on the left and its placement. Such a nice touch.
  22. What a great smile!! Nice way to document such an event ~ clever :-)

Great way to use the frame! I love the cherry blossom petals scattering across the layout ~ so feminine and pretty.
  24. Chloe and Logan ~ born 13 days apart and together since they were 3 years old ~ they don't know each other by any other name but "sister". When they were young, they fancied dressing alike and always got the, "are you twins?" question. They would both snicker, hands covering their mouths, while nodding. Here they are at 19 years old, celebrating Chloe's graduation from Massage Therapy School. I flew to Colorado from Italy for the occasion and had a grand time with my 2 beautiful daughters.
