Materials: Susie Roberts: Brush Set: Musicality Susie Roberts: My Grandma’s Garden Collection Susie Roberts: Shabby Photo Frames Embellishment Journaling: My mom, Dorothy, was very involved in music. She played piano for the school choir and cornet in the school band. In high school, she played a pump organ for church services, pumping pedals to run the organ. Both Mom and Dad both made sure that we three girls all received music lessons, first on piano, later on a separate instrument. We passed on the family legacy of music to our children, too.

David posed out in the driveway to show how much snow had already accumulated on the cars. Christmas Day, 12/25 - 22 inches of snow fell so fast all day that all family gatherings were cancelled. However, the snow was perfect for making snow sculptures. Steven first built a snowman, then Harry and the boys constructed an 11-foot tall brontosaurus while I took photos. Day after Christmas, 12/26 - Rain overnight made the snow sculptures sag a bit, but they were still pretty impressive. People would drive by slowly, and some would stop to take pictures. The piles of snow lasted until spring, reminding us of the unexpected snowy fun for Christmas

Brandy Murry: Rustic Wedding Collection Biggie Neither snow nor rain nor frozen socks stopped David and Rheanne from their adventure. David and Rheanne said there was LOTS of humidity and haze with all the rain and snow when they backpacked around Painted Rocks. Their socks really did freeze! I had to edit these photos a lot so you could see better the true beauty of the rocks in spite of the haze.

Dagi’s Temp-tations: ScrapSimple Digital Layout Templates: Onederful 2 Brandy Murry: Autumn Jewel Collection Biggie Journaling: At the close of a delightful day at Warren Dunes State Park, Michigan, David and Rheanne took a quick swim in Lake Michigan. I was shooting a series of photos of them walking hand-in-hand down to the shore when a happy coincidence occurred. For just a few moments, the setting sun created this magnificent corona effect, lighting up the pair. This captured photo, straight out of the camera, made the memory of this day even more special.
