Then it was 8-tracks, reel to reel tape recorder, albums and cassette tapes. We were lucky to have CD’s with much better sound quality. Now we use thumb drives that hold thousands of songs in that little unit. Our first computer was a Commodore 64 then I got a desktop. I had several laptops. Jay has a laptop now I use a laptop with another screen when home and just the laptop when traveling. I also have a nice iPad that I use to read and when traveling another form of navigation. Phones---Aunt Gin had a party line so they could only use the phone if no one was on it. We always had a private line then several phones. In High School we had one in one in the hallway had a long cord so we could go in the closet for privacy. When we lived in Germany we did not have a phone because it was so expensive. We had regular phones but in 1989 we got our first cell phone in 2010 we gave up our land line and never looked back.!!!! Phones have become the life line to our lives. We use ours to keep in touch with friends and family. Check weather, news and up coming events. We use them to check facts and research We use it for some navigation while we travel. I check bank balances and CC details. We have become so dependent on them I would be lost without mine..
