We are back from a 2 week camping trip with little to no cell service so now I hope to catch up.

Yesterday I had injections into my hip to help stop the pain, it's helping! Hopefully it will last so I can put off the hip replacement surgery for awhile.

I am so bummed to find out the pain in my hip means I need a replacement!!! Ugh now to change our summer plans, so sad.

Finally after 3 days of shopping we bought a new truck to tow our new trailer...Now we can start our adventures with no restrictions. Leaving on thursday for a week and a half.

We went to South Florida camping for alittle over a week so now I have lots of photos to use to try to catch up. But not much time as some friends arrive tomorrow to stay for a few days in the guest room which was used for tools and supplies for the bathroom redo. Never a dull moment.

Until yesterday I did not personally know anyone in Florida who had or has Covid but two of our friends have mild cases and are recovering. They work in a public area so probally got exposed then.

thank you for your well wishes, I am feeling better- kids are healthy now, husband is back to himself, I quit dragging myself around- I honestly thought we had a bad cold, but hurt all over and my heart kept skipping- headaches- very glad to feel more alive. I watch mom (she just turned 86 on Christmas) with her Alzheimer's - she acts like she is barely awake, sleeps and doesn't finish her food. She told me she wants a baby to balance things out, she hallucinates, but I thought it was endearing. Our younger children really are good at entertaining her. My little kids and her are an odd mix, but they are a gift to each other. The Lord knew how much we would all need each other. Thank you for your kindness!

Being a senior in Florida is awesome.. We were able to get the first Covid vaccine today and an appointment for the second shot....it will make our summer travels easier. Stay healthy my friends.

Congratulations! How wonderful! We can't start getting it until March so are hanging out for that! In the mean time we have to continue our vigilance and protection. My daughter and her partner will be released from being locked down on Sunday so are looking forward to finally celebrating a very delayed Christmas! The tree is still waiting with presents underneath!

I'm so excited I am going to meet Laura, her husband and her parents today for lunch. I think we will find lots to chat about.

Well, I guess you now have the best of both worlds, Debby! I think my husband is past travelling such a long distance overseas! He'll probably only travel in Australia from now on, especially since the pandemic has shut us off from the rest of the world for the foreseeable future! Life can be cruel sometimes but we are so grateful to be healthy and happy! That's all one can ask for! Enjoy your camping!

Today is a big day. Our granddaughter is graduating from High School. Seems like she was born yesterday. Lucky they are having a nice outdoor ceremony and a small party for her at her other grandmother's house. Small degree of normal.

Sad Happy.... We sold our big boat up here in CT. After 30years at this marina we will give it up and start land travels. We will be looking at travel trailers when we get back to Florida. Lucky the new owners cannot take possession till Aug 1 so they want us to stay... Visiting with our friends and family here for the next 6 weeks. Plenty of time to move out.

Really?!! Why, though?
30 years, hard work, very expensive and dock friends have changed. They are doing dock upgrades here and the yearly summer rate will be going up $1,000 per summer, winter rates too and shrinkwrap already went up.. We also want to go back to camping to see this beautiful country.

Wow, that is the end of an era! We borrowed an RV and travelled across America from Las Vegas to Florida over a two-month period in 2007. It was really thrilling and we were so impressed with the magnificent RV parks with so many facilities. Our favourite was the Outdoor Resort on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina! A chance meeting with a vet led us there as she had three spaces and lent us one of hers. We arrived at the same time as the PGA golf tournament and scored free tickets to watch for a day! One thing that we discovered consistently was the kindness and generosity of our fellow travellers.

Boat is launched and we are finally at a marina with internet... It's been 4 days with none. I am so far behind.
