    9-Children

Again a printed background but the photos are standing out...Hearts are a great choice. The pic of them young then older is awesome. The grandchildren are adorable and they look happy together.

BMU_Manmade, SNU_Soretro, AMD_FAthersday, CAP_Birdwatch AHA_MYdigitallifeJournaling-Music when I was young was 33 1/3 records on grandpa’s record player or Aunt Charlotte playing the piano while we all sang. Then it was 8-tracks, reel to reel tape recorder, albums and cassette tapes. We were lucky to have CD’s with much better sound quality. Now we use thumb drives that hold thousands of songs in that little unit. Our first computer was a Commodore 64 then I got a desktop. I had several laptops. Jay has a laptop now I use a laptop with another screen when home and just the laptop when traveling. I also have a nice iPad that I use to read and when traveling another form of navigation. Phones---Aunt Gin had a party line so they could only use the phone if no one was on it. We always had a private line then several phones. In High School we had one in one in the hallway had a long cord so we could go in the closet for privacy. When we lived in Germany we did not have a phone because it was so expensive. We had regular phones but in 1989 we got our first cell phone in 2010 we gave up our land line and never looked back.!!!! Phones have become the life line to our lives. We use ours to keep in touch with friends and family. Check weather, news and up coming events. We use them to check facts and research We use it for some navigation while we travel. I check bank balances and CC details. We have become so dependent on them I would be lost without mine.. I barely remember B&W TV. I remember having a color and the cousins were jealous. Had rotary antennae on the roof Now huge flat screen with hundreds of channels reachable from a remote.

    Book-of-Me

BMU_Petals Family photos- journaling-We spent alot of time with cousins on both sides of our family . Our grandparents were always at the house with Aunt Gin.Many Sundays we would take Grandma Scheppard and Aunt Gin for rides in NY and MA stopping at roadside picnic areas after sightseeing. We used to take family vacations. We went to Maine, Pennsylvania, New York, New Hampshire and Vermont. My most vivid vacation memory is going to Maine staying in a cabin right on the water and playing on the rocks at low tide. I once stayed with Aunt Charlotte at Cape Cod and had a blast with my cousins. When we moved to Harwinton I loved it because I had my own room away from Allison. I hung around with Kelly and Debbie Monahan then their older brother Billy started dating me We were together all through High School We had a cat Moochie for years but he got hit by a car so after that I got my dog Samantha. We had chickens, pigs, a beef steer

  12. DBH_LifeisaJournal Photos by me-Journal-Sunday was the club Spring Tea which is a big fund raiser for the club. Since retiring I am not one for dressing up and not much of a tea drinker so I didn’t attend but I worked in the kitchen. 74 ladies attended had pretty sandwiches, water, fancy teas and desserts. We were in the kitchen for 6 hours between setting up serving then clean-up after the tea I went to Karyn’s with Sandy and Elizabeth to have a glass of wine by the pond.. Monday I went to get groceries. I made coleslaw to add to Monday dinner. I bought solar glasses and we had a few people over to watch the eclipse...not the greatest here in Florida. At the club we made Eclipse Burgers (on the bun a slice of provolone cheese then the burger for the moon) everyone loved it. Wednesday was water aerobics, the pool is so nice now with the temp so perfect. The hour went very fast then came home to clean house. Wednesday I met Karyn and Maddy at the pool for a lunch and swim. We spent all afternoon there in the sun & water. I finished getting ready for Rick & Ellie to spend the night. Room ready, food ready, when they got into the house wind kicked up thenit poured. After lunch we spent afternoon catching up since we hadn’t seen them in 2 years. After dinner of ribs from the smoker with homemade tortellini salad Tony&Nancy stopped but to visit. It was such a great evening. We all slept well then a quick breakfast and goodbye’s they were on their way home Roy & Jay cleaned the shed at the pool then we all went to lunch at Seanyle...delicious food, fun talk. I gave Ellie a basket to take home so she will always think of me. I just got more raffia so started a basket. Saturday I worked on gathering the supplies we need to take in the camper to Sarasota I poured the resin on my last project....so pretty I am happy with the results.Saturday Jay worked in office at the club. I am packing stuff to load trailer for our trip. Tony?Nancy brought grand children and great grandchildren over to feed the turtles sooo cute. We released a total of73 Monarchs so far..

  20. Oh no that was bad timing. I sure hope you find us at another site and join in. It's been awhile since we saw you.
  21. ABR_MillThing. BMU_TravelJournal My journaling-I originally joined when Ro was running the site I think it was 2007 or 2008 I was just an occasional visitor but when I retired and I wanted to be more active I started a new account because I couldn’t find my origianal. one. I made pages and became friends with many members some of whom are no longer with us. My morning routine was fire up the computer then get coffee, first thing I did was check SG to see what happened while I was sleeping. after all there was always someone posting pages because we were a world wide group. Andrea encouraged me to be apply to Creative team and Welcome team so then I was full in to Scrap Girls...It really breaks my heart that we are breaking up because we will be joining different scrap sites. and making new Scrap Famlies. I hope to see you all
