    New Scrapper on the Block
  1. Yes, there is definitely a way to do that. Thank you! I'm going for it! =)
  2. What does clip to the photo mask mean? I'm sure it can be done, just in a different way. I think with the PNG files, I'll be able to use these.
  3. I want to use this item from the SG Boutique in CA2 LO. http://store.scrapgirls.com/ScrapSimple-Embellishment-Templates-Aged-Curled-and-Torn-Frames.html Does anyone know if these will work in CA2?
  4. Beautiful page! What a great job of blending the photos and making a truly eye-catching page! Love this!
  5. So far haven't managed to get in much scrapping time, but I LOVE the incentive! Sign me up, and I'll do my best! I love today's challenges, but I'm spending the day and night at Legoland with my son, so it's not going to happen. I WILL be getting lots of new pics to use in future layouts, though! =)
  6. Thank you all for your warm welcomes! I'm happy to say, I finally bought my software and am ready to get started. I bought CraftArtist2, so I'm not sure how many of you will be able to answer questions. I still can't wait to have pages to show you!
  7. Thank you! Everyone here is so helpful!
  8. I am brand new and don't have any content yet. There are so many shadows, and I can't really tell the difference yet. What are the best shadows? Thanks!
  9. I'm also still trying to decide if I should save money and go with CraftArtist2, which seems to do pretty much everything PSE can do. Or bite the bullet and spend the money on PSE. If I do, there goes my budget for content! LOL
  10. Yes, that was my plan! I'm still considering CA2, though. So hard to choose! I wish I could download a free trial of both, but CA only offers a compact version, so I'm not comparing apples to apples.
  11. YES! I have used Shutterfly for years and am just venturing out into the world of being able to control my OWN content! I haven't even really spent time playing with my trial version of CA or PSE. Instead, I spend my time looking for freebies!
  12. *OR* use the free CA and free GIMP and have even more money to buy goodies! Then as time goes on and a big discount opportunity comes your way, you can purchase the program of your choice. That's not a bad idea. My problem is, I'd rather just get what I'm going to use and learn it, rather than learning two new programs that I don't intend to use later. On the other hand, nothing wrong with free, is there? LOL. And that could get me started, anyway. The "Learn Digital Scrapbooking" Class would be my recommendation for learning. You can watch and rewatch videos and learn at your own pace. Yes, I've been doing that. I've read a bunch of the written tutorials already and plan to watch and play along this weekend. The more I learn about PSE, the more I'm leaning in that direction. But really it's not that it's better, but that it's the one I've been learning. I need to really spend some time with both this weekend and see what I can do. Then I'll go from there.
