It fits perfectly. I originally purchased the case in the link below as a tough case. The tough case is described this way: •Dual layers of silicone and polycarbonate hard shell combine for secure protection •Form fit feature covers back and corners http://www.case-mate.com/Artist-Collections/iPhone-4-4S-Barely-There-Case-Hannah-Stouffer-Cases-Life1-1671_3591-opt.aspx I ordered my self designed case as a tough case and it fits exactly the same. It's two layers...one is the soft silicone layer and the other is the hard polycarbonate shell that the design is printed on. In the design your own case area you can use elements from their designers to design your own case. My mother did that but she said it was very frustrating. When her case arrived it had a coupon for 20% off for the next design your own case. So I decided to give it a try. I tried to do it but it was so frustrating that as I was doing it I began thinking to myself "Gee, this would be a whole lot easier if I could do this in Photoshop so I could have the tools that I have when I do electronic scrap booking." That was my aha moment. I closed out of their tool, opened Photoshop and got to work...

It's unfortunate that they don't have more phone types available.....I haven't searched to see if other sites do this that might have more options. I've just purchased the Steampunkery and Time Traveler collections and I'm going to make another case with a steampunk theme. This might get dangerous.......I can think of a lot of different layouts I'd like to do. One for every season, one for every holiday, the ideas just keep coming....
