    Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends across the pond! We have Chloe's 7th Birthday and I've been allocated the Dolly Varden Birthday cake with a barbie doll stuck in the middle, along with 24 cupcakes. She was very concerned that the doll be "dressed" and would not be naked underneath when the cake is cut! :) I think I have my work cut out for me this weekend too!

      We must be the same vintage because my daughter's exactly the same age and I also made this cake for her when she was three from the Woman's Weekly Birthday cake book! I feel like it's " Back to the Future". ?

      Thank you, Susie and like Ngaire Chloe's cake brought back such memories for me.  My Godmother made us all the most beautiful birthday cake and I had one with the doll in the middle.  Clever Chloe, I don't remember even thinking of how the doll looked underneath the cake!   Happy Birthday to Chloe. :) 

      Yes, her little concern really surprised me! She must be a deep thinker to have thought it through like that! ?
