  1. Man, I keep completely missing questions on here! LOL So the standard version is a one time fee of $29.99. Then they have a studio version which is the $80 a year fee. It has extras stuff - I added a screenshot of the two versions. It makes me so mad when they do this type of thing. Sheesh! Looks like the Studio version is only for iPad pro and Apple pencil while the standard you can use any iPad. I will have to play with my Standard version and see if it feels limited. I am NOT going to fork over $80 a year though. So ridiculous.
  2. Oh, and it looks like this was answered as well but I thought I would jump in and tell you that I usually always download things to my desktop computer and then put it into either DropBox or iCloud drive. I don't have a ton of space on my iPad - too many apps and never enough space! LOL But also it's just good to have a copy on your Desktop computer. Do any of you have the desktop version of the GoodNotes app? I was sad to see that you have to pay for it if you already have the iPad version. I think that's rude! LOL I would like to have it on both but I don't want to shell out another $7.99 right now.
  3. You are right Becky! No need to unzip the goodnotes zip file Thank you all for jumping in and helping - I am completely exhausted after creating this planner! LOL I needed a bit of downtime I am working on a video walkthrough of the planner - most of you on this thread though already know how it works But for those that are new to it and GoodNotes I thought it would be helpful. I am also in the midst of several new sticker sets that will be in the GoodNotes format and already cut and ready to use Let me know if there are some themes etc you all would like to see for sticker sets
  4. One thing to mention about Astropad is that since your iPad is basically mirroring your computer, then you can access all the files that are on your computer. No need to have them in dropbox or iCloud! So that is a really cool benefit of Astropad
  5. When I first bought Astropad it was great but I haven't been using it much lately and I know they have updated it since I have used it. I know a lot of people love it and it's very popular. I can add it as a tutorial/review to my list and that will make me play with it again. Part of my problem is that there are SO many fun apps to play with! LOL But if there are any apps you all are interested in a review/video/tutorial please let me know in this thread or email me directly syndeesaid@gmail.com
  6. I haven't heard of Teamview but I have an app that you install on your computer and iPad called Astropad and it allows you to see your computer screen on your iPad and actually say work in PSE or PS. It's pretty cool but I am not sure if it works for PC's or just Mac's. I will have to look more closely at it. I do know that they are working on a full-featured version of PS for the iPad set to release sometime in 2019. Meanwhile, there is another app that works a lot like PS on your iPad and I will be doing a video on that soon as well As far as having your digi files availble on your iPad that is always the tricky thing. One of the biggest reasons I don't really scrap much on my iPad. Dropbox works but you have a limited amount of space unless you want to pony up their monthly fee. I have a wireless EHD which in theory I should be able to access from my iPad but I haven't really tried to do that yet. But that would be idea. Will have to play and see if I can figure it out or sick my oldest son on it! LOL
  7. You are welcome! Will be doing an intro video on using Procreate to digi scrap next!
  8. Hello Friends! I just posted a new video on two methods to import embellishments into GoodNotes Again, it's pretty basic - but I found a couple ways to get images into GoodNotes that work well for me https://scrapgirls.com/blog/using-goodnotes-app-digital-planning-part-2

    This is fantastic!
  10. Hi Kelly, Sorry I didn't see your original questions before! I am still not getting notified when there is a new post on this thread or really any threads I am following. Still haven't figured it out! Anyway, it looks like you figured stuff out on your own! I am working on a digital planner right now. Hopefully, it will be done soon. I will be doing a tutorial on using bringing in files to your iPad to create layouts next month so keep your eyes peeled. I will also try to remember to post the link here.

    Summer Memories

This is so cool! LOVE IT!
  12. Yay! It is very basic, but I thought I should start at the very beginning for those that haven't used GoodNotes yet or have even heard of it
  13. If it's a pdf you can open it in Adobe Reader, in the Menu Bar choose File > Properties and towards the bottom it should say Page Size and list the dimensions in inches.
  14. Hmmm... I don't know how to tell on the iPad! LOL
  15. Hey, for those of you that have digital planners - can you tell what size the planner is? They don't ever seem to list the sizes of the digital planners.
  16. As an FYI for myself how many of you girls are PC users for your desktop computer and only Mac girls as far as having an iPad?
  17. I realised I didn't include the link to the first GoodNotes app video - https://scrapgirls.com/all-posts/using-goodnotes-app-digital-planning-part-1 Please remember this is VERY basic and I was recording the video on my iPad as I was working in the app so it's not a perfect video! LOL It's just more like me talking to a friend and messing up a lot! LOL I'm working on the worksheet for practicing lettering - I taught a lettering class years and years and years ago, I wish I would have saved all my worksheets and class notes. But it was so long and so many moves ago! Sigh... time has a way of getting away from us!
  18. Hi Girls! I don't seem to be getting notifications from the message board so I might miss some in this thread. I just finished a quick very basic video on the GoodNotes app. It might cover things you already know but I thought I should start at the very beginning If there are specific topics you would like to see in future videos you can reply here and/or email me at: syndeesaid@gmail.com I know Conda (I think it was Conda!) was asking about saving files as GoodNotes files and how to take SG supplies and save as a whole sheet of individually cropped images. So I have those items on my list - let me know what else!
  19. Yes, it's really an adjustment because we are so used to being able to do incredible things in PS and PSE. Procreate is a great app for digital scrapbooking and drawing on an iPad. It just takes a brain adjustment! LOL Because we are so used to doing these things on a desktop computer or drawing on actual paper. But it does get easier I plan on doing some tutorials and video classes so we can all sort this out together
  20. Conda, it is very different to write on the iPad. So don't beat yourself up! And you are left-handed (my daughter is too) and as you know most everything is made for right-handers! My daughter actually taught herself to use the mouse and the Wacom pen with her right-hand years ago, just because it was so frustrating. She does great on an iPad now though. It just takes PRACTICE and patience. Which I know is HARD! LOL When I first got my apple pencil and tablet it felt so WIERD! I didn't like it at all! LOL I am so used to the 'drag' on paper when writing/drawing/sketching on real paper. On the iPad it's smooth and it feels like you are writing on a window or mirror which technically you are because it's glass! LOL BUT, it gets easier and pretty quickly if you practice at least a little each day. Now it feels weird to me to write on actual paper, and since I have been battling with Arthritis for years, it really helps and allows me to write/sketch for longer periods of time without intense pain and my hand cramping. I can make up a little practice sheet for everyone and maybe do a little video to go over it with some tips on making it easier. Will put it on my tutorial 'to do' list
  21. OMG! Conda! That is so upsetting! I would have sent it back (which is hard because you WANT it NOW! LOL) because that is just upsetting. But technically, it's the delivery companies fault so they should be the ones to fix it. I can't remember but did you say it didn't appear to have packing material in the box? If it's working OK then it's most likely fine but maybe for peace of mind contact Apple online (they are usually so nice and it's easy to email or chat online with them) and explain what happened and share the photo you took. Just to see what they say. It's been my experience that iPads are pretty tough. Kids are hard on them and they seem to survive! LOL Anyway, I will be trying to answer everyone's questions - just need to formulate the answers in my head first I am going to be doing a video tutorial on the Goodnotes app first. Keep your eyes out next week. If there are other apps you are curious about besides GoodNotes and Procreate - let me know. There are tons of awesome ones!!
  22. Hi Girls! Just jumping in to let you know I am working on some tutorials on Digital Planning using Procreate, Goodnotes, and even Adobe Sketch. I am also working on digital planner products for use in those programs as well I tried to read through this thread but it's a LOT, so I didn't make it all the way through! LOL I use my iPad Pro every day for just about everything! LOL I think the Procreate app is great for digital scrapbooking (another tutorial & class on my 'to do' list) but for digital planning I am really loving Good Notes. Procreate works well don't get me wrong - but there's just something about Good Notes and it works great for Bullet Journals as well. Adobe Sketch is a free app that you can use to do digital planning but it's not my favorite - but hey! It's FREE! LOL Anyway, let me know what questions you have and I will do my best to answer
