Fulfilling a couple of challenges and using a sketch from PageMaps by Becky Fleck. This is a little valentine page I put together for my niece. I may add to the journaling and add her little poem she recites for school just to have it memorialized for her. It's going to take ame a while to list all the stuff I used (this is definitely more in depth than I usually...maybe I need to rethink these sketches!) This is one of my favorite sketches (found in Simple Scrapbook). I have been wanting to put a page together using it. JOURNALING: Gamma & Grandad came to visit you at the hospital, and (of course) had a camera. Here’s the two best pictures taken of you in our hospital room. You are not even 24 hours old. The Winter Olympics were going on, and I would watch them late at night or you & I would go for little walks around the Labor & Delivery wing. A cold front came in while we were staying at the hospital, so of course, the outfit you were to come home in was not warm enough and the one that was large enough, was HUGE on you. Pam Brown brought us home from the hospital. Don't these just make you want to giggle? So I was trying to fulfill two challenges from Digital Freebies with this layout. I've been waiting for so long to do something with them. Any CC is a-okay by me. I struggled with putting in the stripped paper or using more of a white paper. Any thoughts? I had tried and tried to do a scrap-lift. But this is all I got. Not really a direct lift, but some of the elements were inspired. Anywho, this is another picture of my DD that I love. For me it brings back the day. This was her first time at a park and in a swing. The whole collection of images is a lot of fun. I may add a second page with a collage collection from this day. This was your first time in a swing. Oh how you laughed and squealed in delight! This is what I have for the birth announcement of my daughter so far. It's one of my favorite pictures...it makes me laugh every time I see it. However, I don't know where to start with a quote or saying. Any ideas???
