When I was at a conference for Florida school media specialists last November, I got to meet author Caroline Cooney. I have loved her books for as a long as I can remember, so it was a real thrill!
As Aggie said, you should definitely decrease the size of your rectangular picture if you want the focus to be on the oval picture. You might also consider clustering the two photos together, with the rectangular picture tucked slightly under the oval. You said in an earlier version that you wanted to highlight the woman in curlers. Since she is in the back of the photo, she is not the person that the eye is automatically drawn to. Try some creative title work and/or journaling with an arrow pointing to the subject. That will serve as a way to focus your viewers on the subject at hand. Can't wait to see the finished product!
