Welcome Spring! It's always so wonderful after cold winters in the North or cool winters like this year  in FL. New growth on the palms look so promising. Love it.

I'd love it to be spring here as we haven't had a summer yet and winter is on the way 😱

Rain is good.  I don't have to shovel rain.  Our area is getting rain/snow mix now after a winter of over 40 inches of snow!

I have a meeting in the morning, and I plan on making my own Gelli Printign Plate. They’re so expensive, and I hope it works. Another new craft to try. The sun is finally out, so we are all a bit happier! 💛🧡❤️

Our son's family is coming for the weekend. Got all his favs made - tuna noodle casserole and angel food cake.

Well DH and I did a thing. We rarely go out at night lol but there was a concert at my church. The group is called Appolo5 and they are an acapella group from England. It was excellent. If you Google or search youtube you will find them once you get past the spacecraft😀

Awwww...  I'm sorry you are all missing out on your visit, weather is scary at times and what you wrote is amazing, wow....  So that is a rare occurrence for sure.    @April Showers

We got about 1 1/2" snow last night (OR City). Snowed mostly all day, but didn't stick until last night. Portland got a record 10'!!! It is a royal mess this morning. Won't melt either as the daytime high is suppose to be be at or below freezing.

I was talking with someone today whose mother lives in Buffalo, NY and they got hammered with snow, no power, roads impassible, the whole shebang. They said even Buffalo, which always gets winter snow, had much more than usual. Crazy weather!!

I'm in that area too, Angie - snow forecast for tomorrow night turning into ice ... It's going to be -5 here! My daughter is suppose to come up from MS, but if the roads are bad I'm telling her to stay there. We can exchange presents next weekend!

It is cool here. Pretty sure we're supposed to get freezing rain tomorrow. I drove home from Seattle while the roads were dry, and Charlotte's family drove from Utah today as well. 

It's now 21 degrees and going down with the wind getting harder. Suppose to start snowing in the next hour (3pm) and then freezing rain starting about 8. We have cancelled Christmas dinner since 2 friends who are coming live at the mouth of the Columbia Gorge and may still be icy Sun. morning. Will get our dinner on Monday when it's warmer!

I saw that! I am praying for a white Christmas!!!!! Stay warm everyone and be safe!

I am finally "back on a somewhat regular schedule" - just seeing your post, hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you had a great day! 

This anecdote isn't about this year, but I am always reminded of it at Thanksgiving time. My parents and I lived in New Hampshire, but we used to spend Thanksgiving with my grandparents who lived in New York City. On the way there, passing skyscrapers and city life, my father would sing in top voice:  "Over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go. The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh through white and drifted snow." And we always got a good laugh at it. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

For the past 20 years or so either me or husband or both have had to work on Thanksgiving. He used to work during the half time show at the Cowboys game, setting the stage and stuff for the performers. This year he’s not working it. I however will be delivering food trays for any patients in the hospital. I’m off Friday so we’ll have a quiet and simple dinner. As for our daughters they are in London for the week. 

Besides picking up 2 spiral cut hams that my friend is baking for me (they are soooo good)! I'll do that Wednesday night. Going to meet my daughter's boyfriend's parents & then to his cousin's house to eat - going to MS! No leftovers but no mess to clean up either!

Can't wait! 

Yay! Let the Christmas games begin!

I'm excited! Ever since I woke up to 7 1/2 inches of snow last weekend, I have been really in Christmas mode!

We've already had about 4" of snow this month. Cold but pretty looking!

Did you get some Monday?  We got 7 1/2 inches Saturday morning. 

Oh my goodness, we were over 70º yesterday in NJ, it's supposed to go more towards 75º+ today!  I love it but it's kind of strange, too in November!
