Thx Andrea. This last year sure has brought a lot of changes to my life. Things are settling into a good groove now. The only thing I can't figure out is how did I ever hold down a job before? LOL. I'm so busy in retirement I sure don't miss working.

Like Rae life got in the way and I haven't done many pages for almost 2 months. Hopefully things will slow down and I can Party!

i kind of know what you mean- we homeschool and I finally graduated out of kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade- I will graduate from HS when I am 78!!

We start a 3 day Bank Holiday tomorrow and for once the weather is great!

When my youngest left for college, I just stood in the middle of the room, trying to figure out what to do next. Very strange feeling. Wore off when they brought ALL their dirty laundry home after a month at school.

It sure is weird. I remember it well. Even weirder when both of mine left home within a month of each other. One got married, the other moved out. But you will enjoy some quiet time.

I am not ready for school to start, teach our younger three and hubby is helping with the older three- wears me out thinking of the decisions. At least I have graduated from Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade!!

I'm not enjoying the record temperatures and the drought! Autumn can't come soon enough for me.

Whew!  This month flew by.  I am thankful we have had cooler temps the last 10 days.  Back to heat this week!

106 here today, 114 on Friday…. Hot hot ? 

It reached 104 yesterday in the UK. The hottest day on record. Road surfaces melting, train lines buckling and wild fires. We're just not geared up for such temperatures.

I saw that the UK was experiencing record heat, that's so scary.  I was in London back around 2005-6 or so and they were having record heat and were actually handing out water to people going into the Underground.  Stay safe and cool Hilary.  @englishrose.

Yeap, a couple nights of storms this weekend and calling for it again tonight.  Wish it happened during the day so it wouldn't disturb my sleep ?

As far as I know there was never a tornado anywhere near us. My sleep is so fragmented anyway. A storm probably wouldn't make a difference though a tornado???
