    Hello lovely ladies!   I know I dropped some big news on you last week and you all are trying to figure out where to do from here.  I wanted to let you know that I did receive a message from Jen over at Digital Scrapper.  We all know them from their amazing classes, as I've partnered with them for many years.

    They wanted to offer a warm welcome to anyone looking for a home.  I've been over there the last few days looking at their forum.  It's full of amazing artwork, friendly people and best of all they do not restrict where product is from.   You can read more about  how to join their forum HERE

    The beginning of many "last"  Honestly I do not know if the designers will continue to release items.  There are a few things that are ready, that might be released this week.  So I'm just going to start this post that will cover through the end of the month.

    I’m just gonna put this out there in regards to looking for a new location.

    The thing to keep in mind is this does not have to be a one size fits all type of solution. There may be some of you who are active on Facebook and would love to start a Facebook group where you can keep in touch and not have to go to another community because you just don’t want to start over. There may be some of you who do not participate in social media and you don’t want to do that so you do want to find another message board that you could go to. And there may be some of you that have been on other message boards and you know which one you’re going to spend the most time at because of past experiences . 
     


    it’s great to be able to chat with others and toss around ideas and learn from others experiences from different message boards and no where people are going so that way you’re not the only new person there. But it’s also completely fine. If you decide there’s another location that’s better fit for you. 

    I guess all I’m saying is have an active discussion and do what’s best for you….and if someone starts a Facebook group send me an invite please 😀

    Good evening wonderful Scrap Girls family!  There’s a couple of quotes I want to share with you that I’ve been repeating to myself over and over for a while now.  We are going to start off with:

    And this one has never hit home more than it has this week!

    After much thought, conversations with my family and husband and consideration, I have decided the time has come to shut down Scrap Girls.

    This is not something that came easily.  This has involved many long sleepless nights, conversations and tears.  But I know, in the end this is the right thing to do.

    I did want to let you all know first, and not have to read it in the newsletter.  Many of you are like family, and I will miss this place dearly! 

    All the final details will be in the newsletter this week, but the store will close at the end of the month. You will have until Midnight (Eastern time) 5/2 to download any files.  At that time the downloads will turn off and we will not be able to extend them.

    I will start a thread that the designers can share the stores you will be able to find them in, and their social media information.

    As for monthly games and challenges please keep an eye on the thread to see how they will be finished.  And @April Showers  will be letting us know how we are going to wrap them up.

    I want everyone to please enjoy this final month!  I would love to see below your favorite memories of Scrap Girls, or how you first found us.  I’m sure we all have our own story to tell.

    And I’m going to leave you (for tonight) with this quotes that has caused many of the tears this week

    Newsletter Challenge 3/19/2024

    Good Morning!  I feel like the news channels when they break in for a "special announcement"  lol

    It looks like there was a little confusion on this weeks Tuesday challenge, due to this we are giving you a choice this week!  You can either use the challenge that Grace posted for this week or you can use the one that was in the weeks Tuesday newsletter, which is an amazing new Word Challenge that we are introducing this week.  I will post that below!

    This week, we're launching a new aspect of our Weekly Challenge. It's a word challenge where you are to use a specific word on your page and represent that word in whatever way you want. There's no right or wrong way in how you use the word in your layout -- you have artistic license to interpret it as you feel led. 

            This week's word is COURAGE -- whether it's a photo of a situation where you needed courage, or a life-changing event that happened because you were courageous, or maybe it's a photo showing your child/grandchild doing something that required courage. Post your page in the Scrap Girls Gallery and let's flood our gallery with COURAGE this week!

    @docsheila1  I'm sorry that stinks!   Everyone is right though, as long as we have the items still currently for sale in the store, orders can be resent.  Just email me at hello@scrapgirsl.com  or angie@scrapgirls.com  you can even PM me on the boards.    But download links are only good for 30 days, so right now you will only be able to go back 30 days to download.

    Issues With Gmail

    As some of you are aware we've been having some issues with Gmail since November affecting the store only.  Meaning emails that go out regarding orders or gift certificates.

    I've worked with our tech team a few times and we have not changed anything on our end, these are changes that have been made within Gmail.  

    In talking to them earlier this week I found out the first round of "small" changes Gmail took was in November getting ready for the bigger changes they made that took affect today (2/1)

    This is not the first time a provider has made changes that has affected things on our end, we've faced this several times in the many years we've been in business.  The only thing we can do right now is let things settle down for about a week.  This is the amount of time it takes for all servers/providers to adjust to the changes that someone like Gmail makes.  Once things settle down, if we are still having the issues, there are a few things we are going to try and update.  But we can't do that right now, as the major change that Gmail made just took affect.

    For the time being please follow the below steps

     

    If you place an order and do not get your download links go to your order history.  The orders will always be there, and you can access the links by clicking on the order number.

    If you have been issues a gift certificate and you do not get the email please contact me directly and I'll get you that code.
