Sorry this is a bit late - I'm posting for Mikelle. I started a new job a few weeks ago, and I made my husband take a few photos of me on my first day - of course to document the occasion, as we scrappers tend to do! It got me thinking about life in general, and how even as we get older, we don't really ever stop having "first" experiences. Your challenge this weekend is to create a layout documenting a "first" in your life or a loved one's life. Of course there are more obvious firsts, like first birthdays, first car, first date, etc - those all sound like happy firsts, but sometimes we also have more difficult firsts to endure, like a first heartbreak, or first bad grade you ever received, or first goodbye. Tell us on the layout, through photos or journaling (or both) why this first was momentous for you, good or bad. Post your completed layout in the Weekend Gallery, then make sure to come back to this thread and post the link to your layout. Happy creating!

The Challenge Chase Tracker is updated!

I'm home and I've added the Challenge Chase Tracker! What a crazy month I've had so far, but I don't have any travel plans for the rest of the month. Kind of missing those new baby snuggles though. As always, let me know if I missed something. It is more likely when I'm doing almost two weeks of your posts in one go.

Since I'm doing the chart super late, I can see that you've done 5 layouts from your post above. If you're adding new links to the same post, I'll miss them since I usually go by my email notifications when I add to the chart. I also start after my last update when I'm looking at this thread.

I was planning to get caught up on this today, after Charlotte and family head up to Cathrine's in Seattle, but it looks like I'll be going there first! I'm off to greet a new baby girl!

There is no deadline for signing up! You could sign up on and post all your layouts on the 31st. As long as it is still July, you can still join the challenge!
