Don't know if I've posted, but I am signed onto both Digital Scrapbook Studio/DSS/The Studio and Oscraps.  I managed to change my avatar and banner photo to the one I use on SG, made me so sad to use elsewhere but I'd like to be found by SG.

I managed to change my screen name to MariJ on DSS but on Oscraps couldn't find out how so for now I'm still the "ScrapperM" I signed up there with until I can figure out how to change it.

Hi Marilyn. Just instant message Ona or post on the welcome thread that you want to change your user name. I bet they can do it from the back room.

  2. I'm not sure if I've posted where I'll be on another thread or not, (It's all a little fuzzy now) but I'm at Oscraps, and Digital Scrapper mostly. Also been poking around at The Studio. The message board at Oscraps is hopping active, very welcoming and alot of fun.  Come along and check it out if you haven't already.

@Jane in N.ZJane, if you don't want to get very involved yet, but want to scrap, use your stash and share your LOs DS is a good place to be. If you need help with anything, such as a problem with Adobe, Mac etc you can ask and get help. You can take lessons, learn at your own pace and enjoy the process. There are a lot of free tuts to choose from, or you can purchase a class to work with. You can always join a forum and 'lurk' to see what the rest of us are up too without joining in to much. I did that for years.

I had a nice email conversation with Jen White last week - and she invited all of us to come but not to feel any pressure to take the classes. I thought that was very nice.

I just went over to buy another set of things and went into DRB's store.

She has the nicest "THANK YOU" posted posing as the first product, you can check it out HERE

Darryl, I'd like to thank YOU for the wonderful designs you've given us, I have so many of them.   And, thank you for your kind sale, too.  💜

    @DRB Designs

    Awwwww!!!!!! How sweet is that?

Darryl - thank YOU also for all you have gifted us with your creativity and kindness.

  5. Sounds like the opacity of the picture may not be 100%. I use PSCC, but I think Elements is similiar. Look towards the top of the layers palette and see if you see a little box or a slider bar with the word Opacity up there. Check to see if it's reduced for some reason. If it is, just move it up to 100%. If it already is, then I don't know what else might cause that.

I'm sorry we freaked you out over names and info but I am just over cautious and I want to over share but its a scary digital world we live in.  Your layout is beautiful and I love the four pages so its small and easy to hold and look through.

No it's all good! I appreciate the caution!

  7. I am so very sad about this, but I agree with you Angie how lucky we are to have something so special, so important and so dear as our home away from home here. I will miss Scrap Girls on a deeply profound level.

I first found SG when my dad was in the hospital after having a heart attack that he never recovered from. A digital scrapbooking magazine was in the hospital gift shop for $15! That was a ridiculous price to pay so of course I didn't buy it - until the very last day and I needed to head back home to Ca. On the plane I read that magazine cover to cover, mesmerized by every layout detail, every product reference, every article,  and I said "I want to do that!!".  Scrap Girls had an ad in that magazine. I went home, looked at Scrap Girls, downloaded a couple freebies, and the rest is history. That was 2007.  And here we are.

I had never been on an internet chat room or message board before then. When I joined and posted my first layout I remember being so tentative and unsure about the internet, and talking to strangers online. Look how far we've come since then. I even had a question about the difference between the clubs so I called the number on the site. Angie answered!! I remember being so surprised that a real person answered, and she was so nice! Angie answered all my questions, and I immediately signed up for the club and get it to this day.  I joined in April 2007- so lets do the math: 17 years of clubs  - that's 204 club collections!

Many favorite memories to share, but mostly all the wonderful real life friendships are the center of every memory. Last year when my mom fell and was at rehab and I was so upset and couldn't sleep, poking around on SG in the wee morning hours.  I discovered several friends were also up in the middle of the night and we started playing the board games - for hours  - nightly - for MONTHS!! We all became pretty close during that period! It was fun, and encouraging and distracting all at once. And healing. It was a special time.

17 years of memories! - that was the first one that came to mind but as the month goes by many more will come to mind and I'll share as they do.

Angie Thank you for all you've done to make and keep Scrap Girls a safe, wonderful place to be.
