Curled Edge Templates
DIP has a great little feature called the colorize brush which makes it easy to color them to match your papers. I just thought I would share. To use your Colorize Brush, go to your options at the top that list Effects> go to Colorize brush > then make the brush as big as possible, choose your color and brush it on making sure to brush the whole template. It will add a color to match your paper, but you will still be able to see the shadowing within the curl. Now it is not perfect, if you are looking for a deeper color you might have to still play with the brightness and contrast adjustments or the hue and saturation sliders but this will get you started.
DIP users can use the grayscale templates also by adjusting the hue and saturation levels to color them. Go to Hue and Saturation and adjust the color sliders adding or taking away colors. you will have to know a bit about how the color sliders work but you can learn just by playing too.
A quick way just to "match" a tone of a LO is to use the light source feature. If you are doing a warm LO move the slider toward the clouds, and it will give a yellowish warm hue to the template. If you are doing a cool layout and want more of a gray or blue tint you can move the slider over to the sun side. Sounds odd but it is under the hue and saturation adjustments.
You will not be able to use the styles that go with these. You will have to add your own shadowing. I like to use a soft shadow and increase the transparency until I get the right look.
