:dancingchicken: Hope you will join me for the Sketch Crop Challenge , Thursday, April 19th at 9pm ET in the Scrap Girls Chat Room!

In this challenge, a sketch is used for inspiration for placement and arrangement of your layout. The colors, elements, and subject matter are completely your choice.

I will post the sketch a few hours before the crop if you want to work ahead or you can get the link during the crop as well.

Looking forward to seeing you there! Lots of chatting and tons of laughs! :giggle_bear:

unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to the crop - it'll be 11am Sydney time, which means I'll be at my job interview!! :)

I look forward to seeing everyone's layouts afterwards though :)

Hubby is taking the little one out for a Daddy/Daughter night so I'll have some peace and quiet tonight to enjoy the crop! Yeah! I love the sketches. See you there!

Marnie,

I loved the sketch as well. I had so much fun trying to come up with something for my first challenge. It's not great..but I'm learning and that is the best part. I found out one thing...I don't have very many vertically layed out photos. :) I need to learn to turn the camera sideways every now and then.

you did a wonderful job on your first challenge! Hope you join us on many more!

i tend to have horizontal photos as well. i have to make myself take them vertically - but i'm getting better at it!

I didn't do a literal interpretation of the sketch. I just used the positions and lines to guide the LO. I've been using more of the custom shapes built into PSE. In this LO I used one of the wave shapes. Amazingly, I didn't spend hours upon hours on this LO.

I posted a lucky rainbow shot yesterday but neglected to add the link to this thread.

Thanks for the fun sketch. I tend to use multiple photos and am enjoying the challenges of selecting a single photo.

And what a glorious LO it is. Your photo made me smile. It made me think of God's promise to us and how much he loves us. I guess we are lucky in that since. ;)
