Hello Everyone!!

I am Erin Bayless, Scrap Girls Vice President of Art and Design.

I am currently living in Lehi, Utah, a small but quickly growing town outside of Provo. (We just got a Target and Home Depot) It was a big shocker for me to move here being a big city valley girl from San Diego and finding myself in hunting heaven where it’s practically a crime (according to neighbors) to not have a shotgun and big truck. But I am slowly adjusting. My husband Nick and I moved here so I wouldn't have such a long drive to work in Salt Lake City and he wouldn't have a long drive to school at Brigham Young University.

We don't have any kids yet; we've been married just over a year. Nick and I met through mutual friends and also lived in condos across from each other when we met. So we could wave to each other from the kitchens.

I grew up in San Diego, CA. My adoring husband constantly teases me about my Valley Girl speech and girly tendencies. I'll admit it; some of my favorite words are "totally" and "yeah right". I miss California, the sunshine and beach daily and long to live there again someday. But with Nick in school studying finance at BYU we will be in Utah for a few more years. I love the convenience and excitement of a big city and am willing to put up with the traffic just to live in one. School brought me to Utah in `97. I went to BYU and received a BFA in Graphic Design in `02. I have always loved art and always knew I would be an artist in some way or another. I LOVE the mountains here in Utah and love to hike, camp and even rock climb.

We don't have any pets yet... but Nick is working on that... he wants a dog, a cat, a snake, a lizard, and well, just about anything. Luckily our landlords won't allow it. So that’s my excuse for now.

My favorite TV shows are anything on TLC, I am hooked.

My favorite treats are ice cream, chocolate and orange juice together, and french fries and oh yeah, anything Mexican. Thanks to San Diego, despite going to any and all Mexican places in Utah, I can't seem to find a place that compares to my favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant in my home town. Boo. Hoo.

The things that annoy the heck out of me... people who aren't honest or respectful.

If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to Europe. I long to spend a month or more there and visit all of the museums. I also want to go back to NY and shop shop shop. (I went there in 2001 for a summer and did a graphic design internship for Martha Stewart's Baby and Kids magazines.) New York was a great experience for me! I loved it. And I would also like to visit museums and ground zero.

If I could buy anything I wanted to buy it would be to pay off my school loans and then get a house and a new Audi.

My most embarrassing moment… I have so many nothing in particular comes to mind...

For fun I LOVE to read, clean and organize (I am a fanatic about this one), spend $, talk to friends, eat tasty food that I didn’t have to cook and hang out with my husband.

I look forward to getting to know everyone better!!

Erin, you are welcome to come and eat Mexican food here with me whenever you want to visit!! I'm not sure that our Mexican food here can compare to what you can get in San Diego though!!

Hi Erin! I like your site - it looks like it will be a lot of fun!
Have you tried La Frontera up in Sandy? It's not bad! Also, you know that you can have one (or both) of my dogs ANYTIME!
