Guest jjoeyann
Okay all of you Mac users out there, what software do you use to organize your digital files? I like iPhoto but my SG overlays and page templates show up as a black square. Thanks for the help!!! jo
Laurel Lakey
Personally I use Photoshop Bridge. It lets you see all the .png files and everything, plus you can add keywords and such to the files. Love it!

Love it! I tried to add keywords to the PNG's and Bridge wouldn't let me. How do you have your files organized?
Sandrai
I have been using the finder to keep my photos and scrap stuff organised (I guess I'm using finder like the PC Explorer). I have iphoto and bridge, but have wondered the same thing. Would I be better to use one of these programs? What do they offer that means I should use one of them. Which one is better? Many PSE owners just use that so they donot need open two programs. Many with PS CS use the bridge organizer probably.

I know that earlier versions of Photoshop have problems with tagging png files, but CS3 does not. You are able to add tags to png's now. That's what I use, Bridge CS3. For organizing, I would recommend using Ro's filing system, even if you're just tagging items and not breaking up collections. That way you can still search for similar embellishments and such, without losing the collection as a whole. Here is a link to her filing system: How to file your digital scrapbooking supplies. HTH! rooflyz
I personally found Bridge to be too slow and didn't get into it (with PSE4). I use iPhoto with folders like papers, embellishments, etc., then albums within the folders, like red papers, tags, frames, etc. Using Finder I couldn't see what the files looked like. If you make the thumbnails big enough in iPhoto, you can tell what everything is. HTH
