I don't know how many posts I've read asking what DH, DS, and DD mean. I admit, one of those posts I did myself. While I've learned a lot of the different abbreviations, I stumble across more daily that I don't understand. Let's start a thread where we can help each other and other newbies. I'll start.

DH - (Dear/Darling) Husband
DS - (Dear/Darling) Son
DD - (Dear/Darling) Daughter

PS (#/CS) - PhotoShop (version number or CS)
PSE - PhotoShop Elements
PSP - PaintShop Pro

MM - Making Memories
CK - Creating Keepsakes

Too funny Varanda. What's even funnier is some of the things my DH came up with, lol. I'm glad someone verified some of thiese because I was surely lost on some of them, so thanks so much.

To have a friend is to have a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold and an extra pair of legs when yours are too weak to stand alone...

I have been living buried in books and writing classes... as an added note I must say that it is rather scary when you start dreaming and all you can see within your dreams is words floating everywhere!

Well, I'm glad you guys have clarified those abbreviations - they are great, IF you know what they mean!! I had to check with nelly the other night to see if i was right on the DD, DH, DS!!

There's so many more out there tho', it's like text messaging - soooo many abbreviations, you need a while to figure them all out!

Another one we used to use a lot at work was YMMV. It stands for "your mileage may vary," but it really means "it might work a little bit differently for you than for me."

Adding additional abbreviations as I see them pop up on the other topics:

SAHM - Stay-at-home Mom
SGSS - Scrap Girls Scrappiness Society (I made this one up and I'm trying to get it to stick! :))

Hi,
I used to post a lot on a cross stitch forum and one of their favourites was WIP....... Work in Progress.

I do still stitch, but I don't really post there anymore. Still have plenty of WIP's though.
Blessings and Peace.

Artist Trading Card.

They are were started as playing cards that were altered and made fun. But then people started making all kinds of cards and sharing them. They are never sold, but are traded amoung artists for fun.
