EDITED! PLEASE READ OVER NAMES AND DATES!

Circle Journal #1 Ladies! Welcome!

I have graciously taken over this task for Michelle who has found herself a little swamped with other projects. I am new to the world of CJ’s, so please excuse if I am a little raw.

I think what we will do is go in the order listed below. This is the order in the sign-up post. I just took the first spot to make up for Michelle’s place.

What we need to do is EACH come up with themes, colors, sizes and dpi that we would like to have to put in our own circle journal. You can put those requirements right in this post. Ask questions here too, so that they are all in one place and we can easily find them…just be sure to put the word “Question” at the top of your post for questions…for your requirements type “Requirements” at the top.

Participants are to e-mail their created LO to the "owner" of the CJ book AND post the layouts in the gallery. If the other people involved in the CJ would like a copy of a book that does not belong to them, they need to then e-mail the creator of the layout and request the file sent to them.

Let’s try for a 7 day limit on each journal entry. That means after 45 days, we could have one circle journal complete…if not sooner. (If you think I am off here, let me know…or reply within this post. As I said, this is all new to me.)

Post here to let us know when you have received your 8 layouts. Please feel free to go ahead and start someone else’s circle journal as long as they have their information posted, but stick to the order as much as you can. (I’m not sure if this is how it is supposed to work, but it sounds good!)

I've just noticed the the RGB & Color number are hard to read on the first 3 (even after you enlarge the photo) so here they are

R: 97 - 66 - 99
G: 2 - 80 - 84
B: 26 - 56 - 53

OK, I'm really really not familiar with how this works. So I'll try to answer the questions but I'd love an explanation or a confirmation. For this, we're supposed to create LO's for everyone else right? Are we supposed to create quick pages or do we add photos? Do we put our photos in or the person's that we're doing the CJ for? I'm going to go and take a look at some other places to see if I can find some answers in the meantime but if anyone can help, I would appreciate it! Thanks!

For mine:

Theme: Natural Beauty (could be people, nature, whatever)
Colors: I'd like it to be "grungy" or "textured" (but it doesn't have to be if that doesn't work)
Size: 12x12
DPI: 300 DPI

Hey Katrina! Here is what you are to do. Everyone puts up their own requirements. This is what you are to do FOR THEM. You follow their theme, and use the colors they ask for, size, quality, etc. You design THEM a page according to their requirements using whatever photos you would like.

Now since all these ladies will be making pages for YOU, you need to decide what kind of journal you'd like to have from them. I chose a "front door" theme so I can show my girls what it looks like to live somewhere else besides here. Juliet would like a book about mythological creatures...maybe you would like a book about say, dogs, or recipes or something of that nature. That is what your theme would be. You don't have to specify any colors if you don't want, or perhaps you just want a journal with certain colors but no particular theme! The sky is the limit...it is up to you.

Let me know if you are still confused. I was too at first.

Haha, I figured editing was easier than keeping the "not sure"'s in there. Now I'm off to scrap!

mmm, my favourite poem is in Dutch. It is from a famous Dutch childrensbookwriter Annie M.G. Smit (who has also written Abeltje).
Would that be a problem?

Not at all - would it be possible to put in a translation - either with it or sent separately? Then we could have the best of both worlds! :waving-hi: :waving-hi:

Ladies, I'm afraid I'm going to have to drop out of this this time. Got too much else on my hands right now, and as a paper scrapper, won't be able to keep up with a layout a week!

Sorry! And have fun!

OK, Ladies! I have added Valerie and Alison to the mix since we had two dropouts. We need to see your requirements as soon as possible those who are ahead can get started. Since you two are new, you can just take your time with the first two layouts...we understand and I don't think anyone is in any hurry.

Thanks for picking up the slack! Let us know if you have questions!

Valerie,

Sorry. Can I ask for clarification? Any baby'll do? I don't have any, but I can go acost a stranger. I have no problem with that.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Sure, why not any baby? LOL. My 20 month old baby girl is going nuts over babies right now, so I thought why not have a bunch of baby LO's so she can "aww pwetty baby" all of them, lol. I thought make a big book full of babies for her to love, and then I can have my baby magazines back, lol. So to answer the question, any baby pics will do. If you need some baby pics let me know and I would more than happily send some along so you won't have to go acost a stranger, lol.

Theresa's LO of the view out my front doorOkay, I've got Theresa's done, so here's a link to it & I hope it is acceptable. Please do give me your thoughts about what I did or didn't do right so I'll know and can learn and fix things. I'm lost as far as e-mailing at though. I made it 12x12 in paintshop pro 8, as well as 300 dpi, but the file even saved as a jpg says it's just over 6 and a half mb's, so can someone please tell me if this sounds right or how to fix it so I can e-mail it please. Thanks in advance.
