I got these GREAT shots of my son devouring a chocolate egg almost as big as his head ... closely cropped, great colors, just beautiful gooey mess ..... except that I didn't notice at the time that his nose was running!!! (eeewww, don't even want to go there !!!)

But I hate to trash these photos. Is there any hope of masking this little snafu? I mean, can you really edit that out?

I can upload a few of the shots if you really want to see, but they are so good other than that little detail......

sigh, am I the ONLY mom with these problems?

Sounds like some of the photos I've gotten of my children, they sound gross or what not, but they are a true candid moment that I usually cherish. I guess I just feel that they won't be little forever and tehy won't always have runny noses, so I keep the "gross" photos just because I always want to remember the way things were when they were little, and also because it makes for great albums to show family. Yes, you may get the comments that you should have blown your childs nose, but oh well right? Everyone has a runny nose sometime. And believe it or not, alot of people have runny noses when eating hot or spicy foods too, so if it was me, I'd leave them and use them as they are, but would also take and fix one or two then compare it to original and see which you truly like better and which stresses the actual moment when it was taken.

To have a friend is to have a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold and an extra pair of legs when yours are too weak to stand alone...

I have been living buried in books and writing classes... as an added note I must say that it is rather scary when you start dreaming and all you can see within your dreams is words floating everywhere!

It depends on how, uh, messy, it is, lol. Fixing a little shiny spot isn't too hard, but a full on runny nose, probably mixed with chocolate, well, that might be harder LOL. You can post a pic and and I'll give you my opinion, lol. But, all in all, I mostly agree with Valerie, above. It's part of being a kid.

Some Mom's just have all the luck, don't they?!!? :roll-on-floor-laughing: Sorry about that DeeZee, you just cracked me up!

First what photo-editing software do you use? As GauchoGirl said, fixing a "shiny spot" or other blemish is usually pretty easy with the right tools. For example, in Photoshop Elements, you can just use their new "Healing and/or Spot Healing" brushes. You can also go the Clone/Stamp route...but it takes a lot longer.

I'd play with one of the photos to see how you can edit it. If it looks good, use it as your focal image. But scrap those other ones too...they're part of real life with a kid!

I don't think this is bad at all! You could edit it if you want, but I really don't think it is as messy as you think!

It's not that bad, but it would be easy enough to fix. I'm just jealous that I don't have any chocolate now, so gotta try and talk DH into going to get me candy bar, lol. This diet thing isn't working very well at all.

Tricia thank you so much for your help with this one! It looks great!!!

Does anyone know what the equivalent of the healing brush might be in PSP? Or do we not have one?

I just know the old fashion way.... I zoom in really close then try to match spots from other areas around that are not so bad. or use the smudge/blend tool. Doesn't always work though. Definately use a copy :) Anyway the photos are pretty cute the way they are, it is not the first thing you notice:)

 All this :exercisebike: and all of these :situps: just aren't getting me anywhere with this diet, that I haven't been fully committed to, and well, chocolate is definately a big part of why it just isn't working. I was wondering if anyone was going to catch that or not though,

I think you could go either way with this picture. I would probably try to clone it, but you have to find good "matching" skin on the face. You could even put a piece of digital vellum on it, if you wanted to make it a little dreamy.

Good idea.. I haven't yet scrapped this one so making it dreamy could take care of the "little" problem LOL! He was SO proud of his egg!

Hi I thought the picture is cute :)
I had something similar in one of my pics & I used the scratch remover and
I think the clone toll in PSP.
