Well, helloooooooooooooooooooooo, ladies!!

This is my first time posting about a contest!! I am thrilled and excited to see what all you creative loving souls will post!! And you also get a chance to win a prize!!

As you read in our May Newsletter (if you aren't signed up ... no worries!! Just follow this link: Scrap Girls Chit Chat Newsletter Sign Up ), you read about "Honoring Mothers" layout contest. To win, post your layouts honoring Motherhood in the May's Contest Gallery! What's really wonderful about this contest is that you may enter as often as you would like!! (Love that about contests here!)

The prize? A $20 Gift Certificate from the Boutique!! And you know how much you can get with that amount ... !!

Now the only thing you need to remember is to post your layouts by midnight (EST), May 31st. And sending flowers to Shai is always a good thing ... KIDDING!! (Remember ... I said you only had to remember one thing: posting date! Hope Ro doesn't see that ... hehee)

I know you all can do more than one with all that creative zest!! And if you don't, not a problem!! We just love to see your brilliant smile and participation!!

I have to get down the photo I just hung up on the wall and scan it for this one. Anyone know best settings to scan an 8x10 at? It's the only copy of this photo that still exists, so I just gotta use it, lol.

Ladies, you're doing brilliant! I can just sing PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE for all the work that's been done and being done for Moms' all over the World!

DeeZee has a sweet card that she's sending to her Mom DeeZee's LO. You, also, get to see Dee 'toofless'!

Breedeen's picture of her Mum is from 20 yrs. ago. It's brilliantly soft and colorful ... and a smile to brighten any rainy UK day! And you all know how I ooooh and awww over smiles!

mwmhansen's two LOs just take your breath away! The first of her niece seeing her son for the first time. How many of us have such a precious and loving moment?
Her second shows her Mom was a little girl. Yet, that's not the part that makes you smile so bright ... it's her own poem for her Mother.

Bridget's LO is of her Mum as a teen with loving words to describe her I always love those types of LOs.

Oh! We have a new LO (as I type)!
Valerie has a LO of the only picture she has of her Mother in her younger years in lovely pink, white and red! I always think of Valentine's and Mothers with those colors. Pretty pretty!!

Where's mine? Well, I am going to cheat on my first LO and place one that I made a bit ago. It's not older than March Other than that, I plan on making a Three Generation with my Son, Mom and Grandmother (I'm, also, trying to get some other LOs done for my Calendar LO)

I can't wait to see what else is in store for us!!

That's me, too. I always send my mom links to whatever I've posted,and I email her lots, too. You'd think after being away from home for 15 years, I'd grow up, but I still need my mom!

Katie - ABSOLUTELY! I'd encourage you to do a LO on your friend's Mom, if you wanted ... :: I am toning down my abstractions since I can get a bit carried away LoL :: ok, how about your Mom's Mom's best friend's Mom ... GO FOR IT .... Anyone or any mention of Mother would be aprropriate in my book!

Remember, if you don't have a picture, you can STILL do a LO! Poems, stories (rambles are my forte) or whatever you like ...

I'll always encourage you to look outside the box, too Since I am wiggling my ... man, why can't I get away from feet talk?? ... toe out there, too!

Well, I am right in there with you!! I send them to my Mom ... who said she wouldn't use a computer after retirement. She would email, that was all ... then I begged her to try Yahoo ... "no way" she's a huge chatter with me now! That was 4 years ago, I think, and a move to England that made her change her mind BIG TIME! LoL
