Guest talina Posted May 16, 2005 Share Posted May 16, 2005 Okay. I know there have been lots of "need help" posts about the Scrapiness Society News Ticker, so here is another. I use Firefox. I installed the news ticker...and see the heart, it opens a window with the three subjects visible...I just can't read them. I have pop-ups enabled from Scrap Girls. I opened Explorer. I allowed pop-ups from Scrap Girls. I still can't read the messages. I also have Norton installed. Is this a factor? Okay, so all of you who have worked through this, any advice? Thanks in advance. I don't mean to be a bother. Oh, and if this has been answered, and I just can't find it...feel free to link to the post/thread. Thanks again! ScrapGirlsRo Posted May 16, 2005 Share Posted May 16, 2005 Hi Talina, You have to have IE set up as your default browser. This doesn't mean that you still can't use Firefox. It just means that IE will be the one that opens automatically. Since most software companies engineer for IE, this is actually to your advantage. More informaton is available in the FAQ. I have added both scrapgirls.com and the scrap girls scrapiness society news ticker.exe to my approved pop up list...and have re-booted !! Help Please. I had a small problem with it but after removing it from the Restricted sites list it works great. Just thought I'd share this in case it can help someone else.
