Ok, I made this for a friend ... she doesn't know it's coming and not sure she has ever made an ATC (Artist Trading Card). This is my first ... underneath is a Pokemon card! HA! Finally, ridding my house of POKEMON!! <evil grin> Yes, I have permission from the boy LoL

I used C. BARBER's Etc kit :) LOVE IT!!

The smudges are my addresses. And my scanning has a lot to be desired at night LoL

Wow, that is truly neat. I didn't really know for sure what an artist card was until now, so I can't thank you enough for sharing. Now I can make one like I needed to for the Circle Journal, lol. But since it will be my first, it definately won't be as great as yours.

OMGosh, Valerie ... this is nothing compared to what I have seen out there! To me this is like a 5 yr old work hehe But, again, I just wanted to do SOMETHING with paper, quickly!

THANK YOU for the compliment! There is a link running around for a great site that explains ATCs ... oh wow! I found it right away! LoL

Shai, love your card. I have been interested in trying ATC's for a while now. Have looked at so many sites and gallerys of ATC's and some of them are so beautiful and interesting. I am so afraid to try my own (I know that sounds silly) and the thought of getting in on a trade is even more scary. What is wrong with me? Why am I going against my own quote (Just Do It!). Well you have inspired me to do just that. Off to make my first ATC I might even post it LOL.
Thanks Shai

Thank you! I've been throwing the idea around of ATCs for awhile, too. I've always been afraid, TOO! And I so know what you mean! So, you better share to inspire me to keep going, too LoL

I am working on one right now, of a bridge Mike loves in Scotland. I bougth a panoramic postcard while on holiday last year. He asked me to do something with it so he could have it in his office. I found some great panaromic frames ( only 4 dollars each!!) at Tesco's. Kinda like a WalMart, but UK :) He Loves it! :) So I am making a little thing for him, again, with the picture.

I'll share if you share LoL
Shai

PS: My only goal here is to get my nerve to do something different and pass on encouragement and fun! :) I hope I am doing it well :)

There is an awesome publication that highlights ATCs, the history, what they are and lots nd lots of example. The name of the publication is Artist Trading Cards - an anthology of ATCs. Published by Someret Studio. Got it off the Stampington and Company website. I will post a couple that I did if you are interested.

Thanks so much for sharing the link! I truly had no clue about artists trading cards. They not only sound fun, but they sound like they can become as addicting as my love for Basketball and Pokemon cards. LOL. I'm gonna try doing a few the paper way. Thanks once again.

I got "Artist Trading Cards - an anthology of ATCs". Published by Someret Studio. and if you are interested in ATC's it is a great little book to have. So many examples to look at, lots of ideas to inspire you.
What I love about ATC's, is there are little and such a great way to use all those scraps everyone has.
