I am in the market for a new scanner.

Mainly for old photographs that i want to make digital.

I looked at the 2 new Epson printers. There was a price difference of about $100.00
But I didn't see much difference between the 2. I don't remember the model #'s
Is there a scanner out there that is recommended ?

Any input or recommendations are appreciated. MJ

MaryJo,
I have an Epson perfection V200 photo. Cost, I think, was $99.
I like the job it does and it also can scan slides and negatives.

Hope this helps!

Thats great. Thank you very much. I am now convinced to go with the epson. I dislike making these kinds of purchases without opinions from people who have them.... MJ

Mine is an Epson CX 5400 all in one. Once I figured out how to take the scanner out of Auto Mode, it scanned my photo wonderfully. This is probably a step down (or older model) than Angela mentioned. It prints out my 8x8's on premium photo matte paper just fine too.

I have a printer that I really like, I had an all in one a while ago and it was alot of work and I wasn't keen on the printouts. It was awhile ago, so I am sure they are better now. I am going to check them all out. If space becomes an issue then I may need to go to an all in one. MJ
