Pse The Only Software For Mac?

I bought a mac recently (my first one, Yay! and I looooove it) but, I am having a hard time finding any software for the mac that works like a elements does, for example I really want to use Corel Paint Shop Pro ( I think it is easier and user friendly) but I just can not find any software at all! Does anyone know of an alternate photo manipulation software for Macs? If there isnt one then I will reluctantly purchase PSE...

Thnks!!

You've probably answered your own question by now - I just happened to see this as I was browsing through the Mac MB - I use Adobe InDesign for my layouts and I do still use PSE 6, but my primary application is InDesign. I love it - wouldn't trade it anything in the world. I am also a graphic artist and use it for things I do for clients so I started with it long before I started digi scrapping and when I started that I just kept on using my InDesign Software. It makes layouts so easy and you can do layers and styles and everything you want to do - but there are still some things you have to use PSE for. 90% of my layouts however, are done in InDesign.....

I'm using Pixelmator. I found out about it from the downloads page on the Apple website. I think it is a bit limited yet, but updates happen often and are free after you purchase the software ($59). So far it works well for me.

That's a new one to me - is it similar to PSE?

I'm not familiar with PSE really. From what I can tell, the developers are trying to make it like Photoshop. I can follow tutorials fairly easily without adjusting much since the menus are similar from what I have seen. Right now, brushes and styles aren't options, but they are being requested and worked on.

I don't know if you ever got a definitive answer, but no, there isn't Paint Shop Pro for Macs.

I have always had a Mac - have three of them in our house actually. I use Adobe Creative Suite which includes Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. InDesign is my very favorite application and the one that almost all of my layouts are completed in after I have done a few things in Photoshop. Check out Creative Suites - I think they have a free trial of InDesign on their site. You will love it!
