Breakfast Strata
white bread, crusts removed (number depends on your pan, i use about 16 in a 13x9x2 cassorle pan)
thinly sliced ham
1 pound sausage cooked like ground beef
1 1/2 cup shredded cheese
6 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 cup minced onion
1 tsp worchestershire sauce
3 cups milk
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup wheaties (other kinds okay, or optional)
Butter your baking dish, and arrange the bread on the bottom, about 8 slices. then add a layer of ham, sausage, and cheese. place another layer of bread on top. In a seperate bowl, combine the eggs, salt, pepber, onion, worchesire sauce, and milk. Pour this over the bread layers. Cover and put in the fridge over night. In the morning, melt the 1/4 cup butter and pour over the top, and add the wheaties. Place in the oven for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

I love breafast strata!
Here is one for make ahead mashed potatoes-
Make potatoes to their desired consistency- butter, milk seasonings and all.
When satisfied, add 1/2 stick of cream cheese for each pound of potatoes and mix in thoroughly. Put into a casserole dish.
Reheat the next day at 350 degrees with aluminum foil on- about 20 min per pound of potatoes. Mix frequently to keep from sticking or getting hard on the edges. Taste like you just made em!
