heididh
Hi! I have been digitally scrapbooking for a while now and would love to make Christmas cards this year. I would like to make a typical folded card (not the one piece picture card that people send out). How do I do this? Do I need to buy prefolded blank cards? I have a good printer at home so I would be printing them myself. Can I design on the front cover and then put a nice saying on the inside? If so, how is all of this done? I am sorry to not have a clue, but I love what I have seen and would really like to make my own this year. Thank you for all of your help! QueenO
I am so glad you asked that question. I have the same question. Maybe there is someone out there who can give us both some help.
PBarnes
Hi and welcome to Scrap Girls Heidi! I haven't gotten into making cards yet so I can't be of any help with your question, but I did see that there is a card making class coming up. It is during the day though. Wxchic
Welcome Heidi! You sure can make your own cards. I'd recommend getting the prefolded ones, OR you could get heavy cardstock and fold it yourself. You would have to print on one side, (for your cover) and then turn the paper over and upside down to do the inside. I know that some of the prefolded card paper (like Avery) come with instructions. BUT, I'd recommend taking the class her at ScrapGirls. For sure you can get the inside information on what kind of paper to buy and how to print it out with a LIVE person..nothing like it! Denise Doupnik
Welcome to Scrap Girls Heidi! I'm not sure which program you are using, but we are holding a card class in PSE4 and up early next month. The class comes with a card template as well as papers and elements to make the Just Because Card. As you can see from the samples, the template is great for holiday cards, too.
