I adapted this recipe from allrecipes.com to use fresh peaches.
5 medium to large peaches, peeled and sliced
2-3 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 stick of butter
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup of milk
- Gently toss peaches in brown sugar and set aside.
- Melt butter 8 X 8 baking dish in preheated 350 degree oven.
- Combine flour and sugar. Stir in milk. Spoon over melted butter in dish.
- Pour peaches over flour mixture.
- Bake 50-60 minutes, until peaches are bubbly, crust lightly browned.
My family LOVES this, and it's so easy to make. I make mine in a Pampered Chef square stoneware dish, and it turns out wonderfully.
