danceswithscissors
Been lurking here, trying to figure out how and where to get started. Noticed several people mentioning using ACDSee to organize, and just two nights ago checked out their site to see about getting a trial download, which I did. However, today I'm hopping around, and notice that instead of version 9 that I downloaded, they're now promoting version 10. Anybody know what makes this version better/worse than 9? I know that newer isn't always better (for us) with some software.
crush4dolphins
I would just go with 10 and here's a site where there is a coupon: http://blog.acdsee.com/2007/10/02/coupon-c...r-blog-readers/
danceswithscissors
thanks. I was just a little freaked out, wondering if I was really losing my marbles when I thought I had downloaded 9 just the night before.
crush4dolphins
I just downloaded version 10 to try and I'm gonna upgrade. Some nice new features. I really love this program for organizing all my digital stuff. Once you get it all set up it so nice to use when scrappin and it goes much quicker. Also, I always find something I forgot I had, or never realized I had it. Good luck and have fun. It does take some time to organize but it's so worth it. I'm still organizing. goosie
I'm wondering how this program is different than the organizer in PSE 5? Can anyone give me an explanation? I'm all for organizing better!
crush4dolphins
I have PSE3 and didn't care for the organizer. Don't know why it just didn't suit me. The new ACD is really cool. You can even extract multiple files within and organize in the same program. Sorry I'm not much more help. But if your interested in ACD there's a free trial and a great blog site I check out. I believe one of the sisters on that site is somewhere within SG also, that's how I found it. I'm not sure so don't know if I can post the site here. If you're interested pm me.
