I don't know if this is of any help to those of you who use this program, but after struggling I found these instructions on the PhotoImpact forums:

posted by :MaryLouW - thankyou!

There are several ways to add textures. One of the easiest is..

1. Open an image and create an object... a circle or whatever, doesn't matter.
2. On the menu, select Effect\Fills and Textures\Texture Filter. This will bring up a screen with some images on the bottom row. Click on the second one from the left (Embossed).

3. On that same menu, in the upper right corner, there's a sample texture. Click on the down arrow next to the texture and select Add Texture. Browse your hard drive to find your texture (use the paintshop images). Now you can use it whenever you like.

Hope this helps

Glad you found that! Photo Impact is a great little program. It can be a little hard to learn and adapt to since so many people use PS and PSE now! :) I have the program as well, if anyone has questions about how to use SG products in PI, post them here and I will see if I can answer them. I know we don't do a lot of tutorials or articles for PI just because there are so few people who do use it, but that doesn't mean we can't try to work things out for people who do have questions.
Happy Scrapping,
Melissa Renfro
