Anyone Trying For Mm Masters? Memory Makers magazine's contest

Rules are on page 66 of the July issue.
Basically:
4 color copies of original pages on any topic and
one 12x12 original on the theme "joy and comfort."
Must be postmarked by August 15, 2005.
Anyone trying? Tonya (GauchoGirl) was named an Honorable Mention last year. I tried last year, and 2 of my layouts for the contest ended up in the Our Favorites edition on newsstands now. Talina's Greatest Love (last year's theme) LO is in there too!
Anyone thinking about it? Anyone want a buddy so you have someone to talk about your LOs with? I figure paper scrappers have their cropmates to give suggestions, maybe we could pair up and have "mentors." Anyone interested?

They must have received lots of digital entries, because this year, they even have a comment about digital layouts - they want a printed copy AND a CD with your work on it.

I already have an idea for the joy and comfort. I am planning on using printables and digital LOs...or maybe all printables. Hmmm.

I entered PKPT and was *so* disappointed when I didn't even get an honorable mention, taht and the fact I don't think they handled the whole thing like they should have...

edited: I forgot to mention I used Mandy's wonderful kits for my LOs. Here are the two from round 2 (I made it through again!)

I'm so new at this...should I include any of my older work that I just LOVE? for example...that layout I did with the ladybug and Abbie. I just adore that one...or should I start new and make brand new ones...
Do you girls start with all new stuff?

Try this though - what do yo love MOST about that LO? Is it the color scheme? Placement? Photos? "Feel"? - try to replicate it in a new LO

Good continued luck in the Scrap Idol contest.
As for MMM, well, we'll see. I can't start now. Too much on my mind. Maybe if I have time once I quit work....

To have a friend is to have a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold and an extra pair of legs when yours are too weak to stand alone...
I have been living buried in books and writing classes... as an added note I must say that it is rather scary when you start dreaming and all you can see within your dreams is words floating everywhere!

Biscrapper I love it. I think that is what I am. One year I entered but got no reply. I was really disappointed but I think I might pick up an issue and give it some serious thought.
