Hold on to your digi hats – this contest will blow your mind! Want to have your layout appear in the newsletter? Have you always wondered what it is like to be a Scrap Girls Layout Designer, even for a day? This is your opportunity to have your dream scrapbooking assignment.

Here are the rules:

* Participants will create new layouts using 100% Scrap Girls products.
* Entries will be posted in the Layout Designer for a Day Gallery.
* Deadline to enter layouts is Noon ET Monday, October 22, 2007.
* Layout Design Team Coordinator Laurel Lakey and Layout Designer Ariadna Wiczling will choose their favorite layout as the winner.
* The winner will be announced in the Saturday newsletter.
* The winner will receive free Scrap Girls products to complete one layout assignment that will appear in the Scrap Girls newsletter.
* Important note: Anyone emailing or PMing Laurel, Ariadna, or any other team member regarding the contest will be disqualified. Post all contest questions in the Anniversary Party forum.
* Also note: no access will be granted to private forums or galleries.

Oh, almost forgot! Post your finished layouts in this gallery for selection! If your layout is not posted in this gallery, then it will not be in consideration for the contest.

This layout contest is completely separate from the Scrap Girls Layout Designer application process. Participation in this contest will not be considered an application to be a Layout Designer. Okay, so am I the only one that is nervous about submitting something to this contest? Although there is little chance of my actual winning, what if I did??? I think my whole computer would shake.

So are you the designers ever nervous about their assignments? Just curious.

You're not the only one. This sounds so fabulous but the idea of winning scares me. But it sounds too fun to not try.

What fonts are acceptable to use?

Can we use the default ones on our computer, ones we have downloaded for free on the internet, I only have one SG font...? I haven't actually purchased fonts from any place... just wondering...

You can use any fonts you would like. You don't have to have commercial licenses for fonts that you are not planning on selling.

Don't be nervous! Just create, create, create! You never know, yours could be the winner. Everyone has an equal shot and the fun of being a Layout Designer for a Week would be way cool, trust me.

Oh, I am terrified! Joining SG's was stepping out of my comfort zone. Every post is hard. I did it though so why not try. What's the worse that can happen? I won't get chosen, but will have a nice LO with some good comments on it? (Never had a bad comment yet.)

And you're right, what's the worst that could happen, you get lots of great comments on your layout? That's not a bad day in my book!

I totally want to do this, read the whole thread and I see no one has posted any layouts yet. So, I make up my mind, I'm going to try this, and guess what.. My mind went totally blank and I can't think of a single thing to scrap. Too much pressure for me I guess. Unbelievable!
