Wow, love the pattern and the color. Looks like it was a lot of work! I started a quilt years ago but have yet to finish it, it doesn't seem to want to sew together in a square or even a straight line! lol

Great colors! That quilt will be sure to brighten up any room, nice job. My family has quilted for many generations, of my sister and I don't! It is quite the challenge, so pat yourself on teh back for a job well done. :)

This is great! It everything looks straight and the colors are wonderful. Well done. I too am almost finished with my first quilt. I have a neighbor who is a sewing freak so I asked her to teach me. I am binding it right now. My squares are far from perfect but your looks great. I know how much work it takes, way to go!

It's gorgeous! I love the colors. I have made one quilt by machine, and that was enough for me. But I sure do admire quilts and the people who take the time to make them!

Great job Winda! A very brave first choice - and bold colors too! My first was the all-pervasive log-cabin and my color choices can be found next to the word "bland" in the dictionary!
AWESOME!

Hi Winda,
The top looks great and from what I can tell it looks square. Before you apply the binding measure it from the center out to all four sides and make sure you are square. if not, it will not lay flat or hand square when you hang it. Also, you can do your binding in 2 different widths, 1 1/4 in and 1 1/2 in wide. The 1 1/2 in binding is easier to work with but it will look kind of bulky.
I always leave a good 2 1/2 to 3 inches larger on my backing and my batting. BTW I prefer to use a 70/30 blend batting over 100% cotton. To me its just as warm but its much easier to work with !
congratulations on your first top, its a great quilt and you chose a pretty tricky pattern, well done !!!!!!! Can't wait to see the finished product...

Winda,
It's BEAUTIFUL!! The colors are so energetic and bright!! I love the modern stained glass look that you created!!
I don't quilt, so I have no suggestions, but my mom does so I know how much work you have put into your project.
It's terrific!

So I guess it will be a blankie for my daughter.....
I have several plans though for creating a wall hanging for christmas, but not any sooner than when this project is finnished...lol i can't have too much UFO's laying around here! LOL
( ufo = unfinished objects )
glad you all like it so much!

UFOs -lol- I like that. My house is being taken over by UFOs (does that mean we're being invaded by aliens??)

Very pretty quilt - I love the stained glass pattern.
