Using Bridge

I'm having a little difficulty. I've downloaded about 100 Gigs of product and set up an extensive system to track. I unzip and then move the zips to a DVD. I keep the unzipped kits together by designer under the company folder; but I also copy the kit to a file for sorting. I then sort each kit to the appropriated file type (i.e. Paper:Blue; Ribbons:RicRac; Brads; etc.) This takes so much time and sometimes the item can be copied to the sytem 3 or 4 times (Summer, Label, WordArt, Floral) and this really takes up space.

So I upgraded to CS3 with Bridge and started adding keywords. Now here's my problem.

 

When I download I unzip and save the zips on a separate DVD then save the kits in a monthly file (sorted by company then designer) so that's all I have to back up to a DVD and when the folder is around 3.5 Gigs I copy to DVD. I then move the downloads to the main folder (Scrapbook Kits:Scrapgirls:TCO)

 

When I add keywords, I do it the individual items in the kits that I've downloaded for the month. My question is will the keywords transfer with the items when I move them?

 

I think once this is done, I won't have to do the copying and sorting which I think will save much time and space. I do like to see all the brads in one place to intermix, or the ability to find specific ones. Any suggestions will be most welcome. I feel like I don't have time to use the kits because I'm always cataloging!

UPDATE: I added a keyword to an item, then moved it and when searched for it, it came up under the new place! Yippee...keywords to travel!
